Gates is o.k., the initial reaction is “fuck this guy he’s a turn coat” but he has to fund his men during a two front war and he has to win because Bush had both wars under a path to victory when he left office.
Now this POS is cutting everything military in site and is setting it up to blame Gates if either of the wars fail. Gates facial expressions say it all. He hates this REMF but has to kow tow to get funding.

Just wondering, has anyone been tracking resignations of career officers in the last six months?
My boss just retired at 29 years. The difference between 29 and 30 years at retirement is about 10K a year. That equates to 16 years (average life expectancy) at 10K a year or $160,000. Quite a statement of protest I think.
