    PARENTS NEED TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR OWN KIDS.
    THE POOR FLIGHT ATTENDANT PROBABLY DOES NOT HAVE KIDS AND WHY WOULD SHE KNOW? I PROMISE IF THERE HAD BEEN AN EMERGENCY ON THE PLANE SHE WOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Working as a teacher at an outdoor education program where children from 4th through 8th grade come for a week in the woods, I can assure you that children areoften drinking coffee at age 8. They drink Mountain Dew and other caffeine laden drinks, aware that there is caffeine in them.
    After twenty four hours of no caffeine (we serve juice and milk and water – no soda, tea, coffee or even chocolate) you can see the kids coming down off caffeine.

    What you are seeing is not a concerned parent but a pre-lawyer parent who probably knows only slightly more about her daughter than you or I do.

    She is a perfect example of parent by proxy. I would be delighted to be proven wrong.
    Plus, note how the girl rushed through her description. I would wait for further info before believing her. As someone who has worked with children of that age and older for over twenty five years, I would doubt her veracity and look for collaborating evidence.

    Much ado about nothing. Someone is looking for a quick buck at the expense of the airlines.

    The kid was sick before she even got on the plane, as evidenced by the fact she was given cold medicine.

    I have yet to hear of coffee killing anyone. :???:
