In Italy they are a huge nuisance. This story never addresses the motivation to attack these people and simply calls the perpetrators bigots and racists. Of course the politician is appropriately outraged but does he live anywhere near the gypsies. Sometimes there are bad people who are in a particular ethnic group who you want the fuck out of your neighborhood, doesn't mean your a bigot.
