During Boehner’s brief attempt at filibuster, he reads passages related to the usage of “qualified youth corps” to regulate energy efficiency in regards to “the sustainability of low-end income communities.” “I wonder if ACORN qualifies for these grants,” Boehner quipped.

    I watched Rep. Boehner on C-Span yesterday. After his impassioned explanation of this bill, how any true American could have passed it, puzzles me. Our country in on a path to destruction.

    He will agree we need climate control, but throwing more millions(THat we do not have) losing more jobs, destroying the coal companies, setting up more and more overseers offices, all at taxpayer’e expense, when we tazpayers are broke already, this gov. must step back and look what Pelosi and Obama are doing. Because Pelosi is a millionaire, does not mean all of us are.

    Those with lawyers can figure out how to game this piece of malicious, incomprehensible garbage and make millions for themselves and their employers while the rest of us schmucks pay for it.

    I am so sick of these bills not being read before they are voted on, and I think it is treasonous to be sneaking this type of shit into the bills in the middle of the night. This was how the Fed. Reserve was created, and it has fucked us up ever since.

    To remodel any house, you will 1st be required to have an energy audit preformed, then after it is done have another energy audit done to prove that you have improved energy effiency of your home TO MEET WHATEVER STANDARD THEY IMPOSE. For new and existing homes this will require changing your electrical system so your home can plug in electric cars (you know the cars nobody wants unless gas is over $4 gallon? – Oh that right, under this plan the increased gasoline taxes will require gas to be $5)

    They will also provide grants to community development organizations – ACORN – to improve energy usage in communities.

    Give Freddie and Fannie more money so they can provide energy efficent mortgages. This will impose new building codes throughtout the country.

      I want to know one fucking thing … if there are rolling black outs in certain areas of the country when air conditioners are turned on. What the fuck is going to occur when we plug in a few million electric cars every night? Where the fuck is that electricity going to come from if we are not burning coal or boiling water in a nuke plant? Solar? It will be night time when people charge their cars or does this bill also require us to buy old submarine batteries to charge up so we can power on through the night. Do we need to put up a wind mill on our roof? I guess we have the following day off if it is a cloudy and calm day because we didn’t generate any energy … Oh, wait, we also have to buy a stationary bike for each member of the family over the age of 7 so in the event we didn’t get enough power from Mother Earth we can pedal our ‘bike generators’ to make up for it. I, of course am being sarcastic, but I bet if a liberal read this they would think, “Hey, that is a good way to get people to exercise so we can cut the bill of health care when we take that over too. Need to put that into a healthcare bill. Let’s vote on it tomorrow.”

      This shit turns my stomach. In 2012, whatever candidate runs with the following slogan; “I will undo everything that the Socialists fucked up and return the government to one that abides the Constitution” gets my vote.

    Screw it. We all knew this was going to go down like this. The last time we had a democrat controlled congress and white house was the Carter years. I could be wrong but the time before that was FDR. Look what it got us. Republican party got all mushy for a few votes and it cost them. The GOP brought this on themselves. :mad:

      Uh no… The Dems had Congress and the White House in 93 & 94.
      They passed a bill called the BTU which many say was a major reason for them losing control of Congress until 2006.
      The Repubs on the House floor could be heard last night chanting “BTU, BTU” as a reminder that a significant number of Congressional Dems lost their jobs the last time they tried to control energy.

    I am going to rally as many people in my area that I can to protest specifically, this bill at the July 4th Tea Party. There has to be a way to halt the carnage. Rioting? Violence? I don’t know. Apparently the peaceful approach is not working. We the people are not being heard! 218 Collectivists are in control of our destiny, when will We The People finally say were are truly serious and have had enough?

    Boehner and the rest of the Republicans are not any different from the democrats. Eight Republicans voted for this piece of trash that no one had the time or inclination to read. And 44 democrats voted against it. If the eight had voted “no”, it would not have passed. You people don’t get it. They are all WHORES out for their next fix of campaign donations so they can stay in power.     I believe the 8 who voted for it was because they are in liberal districts and they gave cover to the Dems who are in conservative districts and had to vote yes. Weird.
    How can Waxman stop Boehner from reading this piece of garbage? I mean how fair is it to sign a contract without reading it? I mean that is what this is a contract between us and the govt. I think we need togo to DC and knock on their offices and shadow them everywhere. Make them hide in their locker rooms. Too bad we dont live in DC so we could haunt them nonstop.
