Breaking: Taliban Kidnap Hundreds Of Pakistani School Children

ISLAMABAD — The Taliban has abducted some 400 students, staff members and relatives driving away from a school in a troubled tribal region in northwest Pakistan, police said.

Police official Meer Sardar said the mass abduction occurred about 20 miles from Razmak Cadet College in North Waziristan.

The people were leaving the school area after a phone call from a man they believed to be a political official warned them to get out.

A large group of Taliban forced around 30 vehicles carrying the group to stop before leading them away.

Sardar says around 17 people in one vehicle managed to escape and report the incident to the police.

North Waziristan is a major Taliban stronghold.

    I pray it works out ok for those kids, because if they hurt them, like that group in Russia did they are done for.

    Muslims as a people have a great deal of love and affection for children, no better way to burn whatever support you have amongst the people than to become the monsters everyone says you are.

    and Obama tells the BBC, “the danger I think is when the United States or any country thinks that we can simply impose these values on another country with a different history and a different culture.”

    Yes Obama, because we would not want to impose the idea that kidnapping hundreds of innocent women and children is beyond the pale in a political dispute.
