Hamas Rejects Netanyahu’s Call For Two-State Solution
The Islamic Hamas movement has criticized hawkish Israeli prime minister’s policy address, saying it reflects a ‘racist and extremist ideology’.
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhum described Benjamin Netanyahu’s Sunday night speech as a “slap in the face” of all moderate supporters of negotiations with Israel.
The speech is a repeat of the policy of the Israeli government, “which aims at transforming the Palestinian people into a tool to protect the occupation,” he said.
Barhum added that Netanyahu’s stance on the Middle East conflict displays that Israel rejects the rudimentary rights of the Palestinian people.
Meanwhile, Ismail Radwan, a senior Hamas leader in Gaza, highlighted that Netanyahu, in his speech, erased the Palestinian refugees’ right to return to their homeland, adding that he also failed to “recognize al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of the independent Palestinian state.”
Radwan also rejected Netanyahu’s demand that the Palestinians recognize Israel.
“What is needed to be done now, is to stop immediately all ties with Israel,” said the Hamas leader.
Netanyahu, in his keynote address said that he would accept a Palestinian state under certain conditions. The hawkish premier denied any future Palestinian state the right to retain a military force and said that the leadership of the Palestinian Authority ‘must’ defeat Hamas — which is opposed to the recognition of Israel.
“They must decide between the way of peace and the way of Hamas”, Netanyahu said. “Palestinian Authority must impose law and order … and overcome Hamas. Israel will not negotiate with terrorists trying to destroy it”, he said.

OF COURSE these two thugs would say that.obama just sent them 900 million reasons to keep up the fight.
oh well Netanyahu tried.
again and again and again @. kind of like a merry go round, with no end in sight. need a more perminate solution .
You started it, no, you started it.
And the failure to have peace in the middle east is all Israel’s fault.
People need to open their eyes to the fact that Hamas & Hezbollah don’t want peace and never will, it would put them out of power & out of the war business.
Too bad that the Palestinian people are just a suicide bomber recruiting center & civilian casualty propaganda for these two terrorist organizations, who do not and will never have the best interest of the Palestinian people in mind.
Can we just send every jet from the USS Reagan and every jet in Iraq and every jet in Israel and every bunker buster and daisy cutter ever made into the Bekaa valley and end this bullshit once and for all.
241 US Marine Corps ghosts in Beirut demand this.
In 1948 the UN(able to do ANYTHING right) voted on a two state solution, Israel and Palestine, on either side of the Jordan. The vote decided to create Israel but NOT Palestine; instead, the Palestinian people (Arabs who MIGHT have had a claim to being descendants of the Philistines) were granted refugee status. That status was given to the descendants of the 1948 folks. None of the original 1948 or their descendants have been granted citizenship in any of the Arab states. Rather, they have been used as an excuse to attack anything and everything non-sandy that is, not arab).
A phillistine “state” was not on the agenda, because no one thought Israel would last thru the year.SURPRISE.This is the makers time clock, and its almost dinner time.
