WOW Now that’s the kind of stuff that we need to be putting into young skulls full of mush… and lots of older skulls too :beer: :beer:

This guy did in under five minutes what 12 years of primary and secondary education, not to mention 4 years of college, have largely failed to do.

I can remember my high school civics teachers bemoaning the size of government (this was back in the early 1980′s). Unfortunately, they have all retired by now.

A friend’s daughter (now a middle schooler) has to deal with a history teacher who does not spend much time teaching (yeah – he is also a football coach). His idea of “teaching” is to show hollyweird films like “Troy” and have the kids write a report – no discussion, no debate. WTF!?!

At least when I went to college, the focus was on critical thinking – come to think of it – the _where_ might have had something to do with it.

Even one of my profs who was an admitted “screaming liberal” (his words) graded not on the position one took, but how well one crafted their argument – even if he vehemently disagreed it. We had some big disagreements, but I always got an A in his courses.

I can’t say that for some other members of the faculty.

Unfortunately, common sense liberals (I know – an oxymoron) like him are an endangered species. Whenever students would come up with starry-eyed solutions to society’s ills, he would often steer the discussion to “OK – how do we pay for it?”

I think many “blue dog” dems drank the kool-aid and are only now waking up to the nightmare we on the conservative side of the political spectrum warned them about.

I work in a city where the Dems and unions are all-powerful – yet the conversations I hear every day from these “blue dog” democrats are openly wondering “what the fuck?” – yet give me dirty looks when I suggest that maybe they ought to vote their beloved Dennis Kucinich out of office.

Fuck drugs – this reality is a bad enough acid trip that I don’t need any – unless it’s about 10cc’s of concentrated Phenobarbitol or Epinepherine – can anyone tell me which is quicker and least painful?

Just kidding – I’m not that in despair and I’m not checking out, but there are some I know who are – and it’s a bitch trying to keep them going . . . .

Loving your fellow human – even if you disagree with them – it’s a bitch. Hmm – this isn’t where this rant started off going – but a good as any way to end it.

Absolutely BRILLIANT! His phrase “soft tyranny” pretty much sums up the Left’s agenda today. Let’s hope they are stopped before it turns into “hard tyranny”…

BTW, does anyone besides me think that Mr.Klaven talks like William Shatner?
