Krugman Accuses Republicans Of ‘A Form Of Treason’

Remember the good old days—when dissent was patriotic? Fuggedaboutit. Dissent isn’t merely unpatriotic now. It’s downright treasonous. Just ask Paul Krugman.
If, like virtually all House Republicans and a handful of Dems, you don’t agree with the likes of Henry Waxman on the need to take radical measures on the climate, you’re guilty of . . . “a form of treason.” Treason against the planet, to be precise.
That was Krugman’s formulation in his New York Times column of today, Betraying The Planet.
Krugman has obviously drunk deep from the carafe of Al Gore Kool-Aid, writing [emphasis added]:
“We’re facing a clear and present danger to our way of life, perhaps even to civilization itself.”
From there, it’s an easy hop, skip and jump to branding those who don’t go along with Obama-Waxman’s economy-wrecking cap-and-tax bill as traitors. Perhaps Krugman could get Gore to record a re-mix of his famous clip accusing Pres. Bush of having “betrayed” the country.

We have to get really active on all fronts. If we could all start WRITING letters to our congress critters every week until the next election just stating that we are sick and tired of their non representation of “we the people” and their out of control spending. That we will remember their incompentance come election time and the VOTE THEIR ASSES out of office. You can’t call or fax because the lines are busy or voice mail is full. We have to write to them and keep it up every week! Let them know we are pissed!
That’s right Nanny and don’t neglect your State Legislators either. Not only is State level support against Federal mandates on energy and health care growing but the future Congress critters very often start out at the State level.
PREDICTION: Within 3-years, the World Eco-Court will be created (in Europe) with the full support of the UN and World Court, to imprison people and fine companies for crimes against the environment. Eco-organizations will act as their investigators and will bring cases before the court. The UN will act as their “police arm” by pressuring government officials to arrest and transfer individuals. Fines will go into a World Eco-Fund which will be spread-out back to those eco-organizations to fund their witch-hunts.
Only way to stop shit like that is BEING WILLING TO KILL, because there is no “Voting Them Out” at that point (and maybe very soon here).
