“Obama Is Holding Onto Support For Ahmadinejad”

Right Pundits:

When Barrack Obama came to Washington, he promised a different tone in his foreign policy from that of George Bush. And he has lived up to that promise. In the wake of the Iranian presidential election and the protest over the results, Obama has yet to support the people of Iran who want freedom. He is holding onto support for Ahmadinejad.

As the Iranian government has detained dozens of opposition leaders, killed at least 7 people and turned off communications to the rest of the world by cracking down on the protestors of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad being reelected, Obama has been quiet.

And what has been President Obama’s response to all this? He said he was “deeply troubled”. No truer statement has ever been made by Obama. He is troubled in how he sees his role as President. He sees it as the role of a ruler not as the role of governing as our founding father did. He is troubled in how he sees America. He sees it as the cause of all problems in the world, not as the great country we are. So great that people from every country on earth want to come and be Americans.

What should Obama do? If he speaks out too strongly, Ahmadinejad and Khameni would just use it to spread fear that the US is meddling in their government like they have done before and could lead to more deadly crackdowns and more people supporting the hard line governments to counter the US. Let the Iranians sort this out for right now.

Even surrounding Middle East countries have not come out to support either side.

They have alreay blamed us as meddling in their affairs. They always blame us for meddling in their affairs. However, Moussavi and Ahmadinejead are one and the same, there is no difference between the two. The Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei is still in charge, and the only people who run for president, are those approved by the supreme council. No change is coming to Iran unless American tanks are rolling through their streets or the iranians are pulling the ayatollahs down themselves, either way, Iran must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

      Oh yea, fuck obama.

Germany, Canada and the French have all come out in support. We again are the weak ones.

We should be using this to undermine the regime. Any shot to debilitate the enemy is worth while. Even if the new gvt is close to the same. Any shot to exploit should be supported.

Obama is weak and has proven his foreign policy (or lack thereof) is a failure. Even his own cabinet including Hill and Biden acknowledge it is not strong enough.
