LONDON — President Barack Obama suggested that Iran may have some right to nuclear energy _ provided it proves by the end of the year that its aspirations are peaceful.

In a BBC interview broadcast Tuesday, he also restated plans to pursue direct diplomacy with Tehran to encourage it set aside any ambitions for nuclear weapons it might harbor.

Iran has insisted its nuclear program is aimed at generating electricity. But the U.S. and other Western governments accuse Tehran of seeking atomic weapons.

“What I do believe is that Iran has legitimate energy concerns, legitimate aspirations,” Obama said, adding that the international community also “has a very real interest” in preventing a nuclear arms race.

The president has indicated a willingness to seek deeper international sanctions against Tehran if it does not respond positively to U.S. attempts to open negotiations on its nuclear program. Obama has said Tehran has until the end of the year to show it wants to engage with Washington.

“Although I don’t want to put artificial time tables on that process, we do want to make sure that, by the end of this year, we’ve actually seen a serious process move forward. And I think that we can measure whether or not the Iranians are serious,” Obama said.

Obama’s interview offered a preview of a speech he is to deliver in Egypt this week, saying he hoped the address would warm relations between Americans and Muslims abroad.

“What we want to do is open a dialogue,” Obama told the BBC. “You know, there are misapprehensions about the West, on the part of the Muslim world. And, obviously, there are some big misapprehensions about the Muslim world when it comes to those of us in the West.”

Obama leaves in the evening on a trip to Egypt and Saudi Arabia aimed at reaching out to the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims. He is due to make his speech in Cairo on Thursday.

Obama sounded an optimistic note about making progress toward resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, although he offered no new ideas for how he might try to secure a freeze on new building of Israeli settlements. The United States has called for a freeze, but Israeli leaders have rejected that.

Asked what he would say during his visit about human rights abuses, including the detention of political prisoners in Egypt, Obama indicated no stern lecture would be forthcoming.

He said he hoped to deliver the message that democratic values are principles that “they can embrace and affirm.”

Obama added that there is a danger “when the United States, or any country, thinks that we can simply impose these values on another country with a different history and a different culture.”

Then why in the fuck don’t we have a right to build nuclear power plants you motherfucker.

fucking faggot fucknut motherfucking fuck fuck fuck fuck.

Doesn’t the military take an oath to protect citizens from both foreign and domestic enemies?

    • German Dragon

No, they swear an oath to protect the CONSTITUTION from all enemies, foreign and domestic. At this point, if the military allowed Bambi to encourage Iran such that they end up nuking NYC and LA out of existence — along with all the worthless, good-for-nothing seditious liberals in them — I would regard the military’s actions as honoring that oath.

And I’m only semi-sarcastic when I say that. No offense, CPLViper and TicTicBoom, but the only thing I would miss from the nuking of NYC (apart from the Dollardites living there) would be “Cash Cab” and the Met’s Arms and Armor collection. Okay, and Glenn Beck. The rest of it with their damned liberals can go to hell.

    • tlk

      Um..treason?

    • German Dragon

I’m uncertain of your question. Are you implying what I said amounts to treason?

While I’ll concede I was impassioned when I wrote that, nonetheless we are coming to a point where liberalism (ergo, Cultural Marxism) has to targeted as the deadly poison it is. The media nerve centers for distributing that poison are NYC and LA.

As draconian as this may sound, after watching Bambi in action these past 100+ days my farsight tells me we are needing a Stalinist-like Purge of liberals in this country. It was grown that badly.

THIS ADMINISTRATION IS A JOKE AND A FRAUD.

    Fuckthat!
Invite the Israelis and throw one big fucking BBQ & fireworks, make Iran one big BBQ pit and cook up some terrorist piglets for the 4th. Who wants to bring the watermelon?

We’ve all seen the emails about Obama’s citizenship. This is a new twist WE hadn’t known. Interesting.

More questions, and this time some good questions.

It can be resolved by Obama answering one simple question: What passport did he use when he was shuttling between New York , Jakarta , and Karachi ?

So how did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981, without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later? And once he was on a plane,
shuttling between New York , Jakarta , and Karachi , what passport was he offering when he passed through Customs and Immigration? The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions, they must have answers.
It makes the debate over Obama’s citizenship a rather short and simple one.

Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?

A: Yes, by his own admission.

Q: What passport did he travel under?

A: There are only three possibilities. 1. He traveled with a U.S. Passport, 2) He traveled with a British passport, or 3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.

Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?

A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department’s “no travel” list in 1981.

Conclusion: When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport.
If he was traveling with a British passport that would provide proof that he was born in Kenya
on August 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims. And if he was traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend to prove that he
relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967..

Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a “natural born” American citizen between 1981 and 2008.

Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

Count me in as one of those inquiring minds who’d at least like to know the answers to these easily answered (by Obama) questions.

None of this should be shocking to any of Us. We knew before the election this would happen. I’m just amazed at the speed at which it is happening. I say this to all Patriots, who read Pat Dollard’s website, who have their own little niche groups. Get in Active! we need to unite as a solid opposition to the Marxist/Progressives in power in the USA. Your 100 member group can not stand alone with any kind of power. Unite or Die and that is not just some sweet platitude, do it and do it now join active and make your State, Region and Neighborhood strong. Their are strength in numbers and set the ego aside get your ass in gear and get Active!

    • toldyouso

      Well said.

The speed has to be diliberate to overwhelm people.

      ACTIVE is the key.

“You know, there are misapprehensions about the West, on the part of the Muslim world. And, obviously, there are some big misapprehensions about the Muslim world when it comes to those of us in the West.”
Yes, oh great one, most people have misapprehensions about stone age cultures that find it completely acceptable to kill anyone (even their own) who disagree with them on any issue

Obama added that there is a danger “when the United States, or any country, thinks that we can simply impose these values on another country with a different history and a different culture.”
Then why the hell are you even over there :?: :?: :!: Their culture is diametrically opposed to any civilized, democratic society, so leave them alone and get back to America and do your job here. This cultural equivocation is going to be the end of the free world. Not only is obambi turning the corner on relations with Israel/muslim countries, he is doing it at 1,000 mph :!:
Yes, Buzz Bannister, the ramifications of obambi’s statements here leaves me with the same expletive…

My only hope is when Iran lights the fuse on it’s first nuke over America,It happens to be over D.C. so him and his Demogog buddies will be the first to join the 35,000 degree club……….  :gun:

  • riseup

I’m with everyone here towards everything thats said but one thing, if they would nuke us, we cannot nuke them back, i hate them motherfuckers but i wouldnt want to risk nuclear war. i want to have a family, i want to see my kids grow happy, and not have three and a half legs, i think personally id rather have me dropped off in iran and personally start gunning every god damn jihad i could find. just me tho

    • sassysuz

Our Military will have to take care of Foreign Enemies. They will have to find it within themselves if Obama violates his oath to uphold their Oath. We need to cover their backs on the Home Front. We have all sorts of domestic enemies needing to be dealt with!

    • German Dragon

Oh, I would risk it. Big time. You would be amazed at the stuff in our arsenal that doesn’t pollute the atmosphere.

When 9/11 first happened, I had the sinking feeling this would not stop until we had terminated the seed of Ishmael in a campaign of systematic genocide using thermonuclear and/or neutron weapons. Despite my hopefulness of Iraq, I am largely still convinced the world will never really be safe until Islam is removed from God’s green earth.

Neutron weapons around the oil fields will kill the Muslims off while protecting the pumping infrastructure. Nuclear and/or thermonuclear for everything else. Fuck ‘em.

  • CBL

You cannot hold Iran to the same agreements that Japan has. The Japanese have honor and a conscience and lack the religious zealots that Iran has.

  • http://bb.bbboy.net/themainepatriotboard Poe

Iran should have a nuclear power program, monitored as everyone else’s is so that there third world ass can have some fucking lights. He is not saying he supports them having nuclear arms if anything the exact opposite.

Diplomatically this is a sound move, it allow him and “us” to put on the nice face and say sure you can have nuclear power, now let us look, same as everyone else as opposed to the other tact of saying “no, none for you” and allowing them to work behind closed doors, claiming to only want to power while everyone with half a brain knows they are looking for the bomb.

This way it is easier to get the world behind you when it comes to embargo’s and direct action. If you give the other players an easy out, they will take it, let you do all the work, pick up the tab and clean up everyone mess. This way he can force them to assist or loose face.

    • Specter

      pffft

That’s fucking bullshit and the last 30yrs of dealing with this fucking country proves it.

Dump that shit at the Daily Kkkos :gun:

    • sassysuz

Fuck embargoes, haven’t you learned anything from the Iraq food for oil program. The US Military found BAILS of $100 bills. You have to be dense to thinking that those crazy Hadji’s who want to usher in the 12Th imam in the well. Educate yourself before coming here talking stupid.

  • bill-tb

Memory of what nuclear weapons can do has long since left the conscious mind. We appear headed for a refresher course.

Last above ground test was in the 50s, so you have to be at least 65 to remeber …

But people don’t want to deal with real world problems, they want to hide their head in the sand. And most would never consider making or taking such drastic measures, as are often required during war. The bottom line is people don’t see this as a war, they think it is just a difference of opinion.

Ya, if you differ from their (Muslim) opinion they kill you.
