Talk about “Shock Video”…

Officer thought a 72 year old woman was going to kick his ass, so he Tased her?

Who’s the pussy in that video?

  • RiCh

Well she has to sign her ticket or she gets arrested… She wasn’t signing her ticket and obviously resisting him while he is trying to put the cuffs on her… So then what is gonna be worse for her the BIG cop putting his hands on an old woman wrestling her to the ground or just tasering her ass until she is willing to get the fucking cuffs on and go to jail??

    • http://www.jihadwatch.org LCpl. Alexander

I got an idea fuckstick, how about you let the 72 year old woman go and send a summons to her in the mail. ITS A FUCKING SPEEDING TICKET YOU FUCKING TYRANT PIG. :gun:

    • TerryTate

I think what LCpl.Alexander is trying to convey is that it is an issue of judgment. Just because the cops have the authority to taze everyone, doesn’t mean that it is necessarily appropriate.

In today’s society, we seem to have people that think they are the end all when it comes to authority, especially when they think they are being disrespected.

Sometimes it is better to know the system, and use the multitude of ways that things can be done to resolve the matter. I’m sure granny would have disliked waiting down at the courts just as much as she would have being tazed.

alot of people have forgotten that tasers are suppose to be used to maintain public safety in situations that pose a serious and immediate threat to the public safety or law enforcement where conventional means may fall short. This lady did not do anything to even remotely justify being tased. Too many people are DYING from being tased. All too often after being shot with a taser the officer will continue pulling the trigger after the victim has hit the street. This can only be termed police brutality. Tasing someone often results in serious head and/or body injuries. This lady could have easily broken her teeth, a hip, or skull. The officer lost his temper, screaming and shoving the lady. He should be fired. America is turning into a police state where too many officers spend there workday preying on citizens teaching them that they actually have no rights such as freedom of speech. Who’s policing the police? Nobody…….

  • Kevin Colten

Are these cops not trained to make decisions on a case-by-case basis with the “book” being only a reference? We aren’t training soldiers to guard our highways are we?

  • RiCh

What I am saying is the cop CAN’T do that it is the law in every state that the officer SHALL ARREST (NO OFFICER DISCRETION) the person if they don’t sign their ticket. That is basically all the ticket is, is a summons to court… you are essentially signing your own bond saying you will pay the fine or appear in court to attest it… you pay it before your court date you just automatically assume your guilt and an actual hearing isn’t needed. Say you do what alexander wants them to do and she doesn’t appear in court all the court is going to do is issue a bench warrant for her arrest anyway… granny still gets put in hand cuffs and taken to the county lockup (maybe tasered if she resists arrest then too?)… same results.

    • Edd Bernard

Am I the only one that heard her say, “Give me the ticket and I’ll sign it.” Oh, oh, too late granny. This “highly trained” officer obviously believed that you were going to lunge at him at any moment and reek havoc on his ankles. For God’s sake what would he do with a man his own size.

  • Ted

Maybe she needed a hat removal lesson. Linger longer.

  • BTJoe112

Why was this lady out of her car(truck)in the first place? The first thing police say is to stay in your car.

    • Edd Bernard

Because BTjoe112, if you listen to the video he told her to get out of the car because she was under arrest.

  • GF

Yeah, she put up a fuss but then she did say she’d sign it before he taserd her. That’s where the officer should have used better judgment and had her sign it and be done with it, but then he decided to teach her a lesson. Unfortunately for him , I’m his boss and so are you and I really don’t like people that can’t resolve a situation when an opportunity presents itself, i.e. to solve a problem without incident. Makes me wonder who else my tax dollars support that have bad judgment… Obama anyone?

    • RiCh

Amazingly she was willing to sign the ticket once she realized she was going to jail. Once the cop pulls her out of the car to arrest her it is too late he has probably already radioed to his supervisors that she is refusing and he is making an arrest. So im sure it is kinda too late to go back on that cuz he can’t look like a liar to his superiors or the old lady that im sure he told would be placed under arrest for not signing the ticket.

  • Somefed

All I have to say is 6 and 96. The oldest person to Kill a police officer was 96 the youngest was 6. Officer safety first and for most and just because you’re a little old lady doesn’t mean you can put hands on a police officer.

Lots of mistakes on the officers part….like why did you let her get out of her car?

    • Edd Bernard

      You are an asshole.
      Sincerely

    • Somefed

      Thank you I try

    • RiCh

I hear you on officer safety I trusted my Lt. to search a woman I was only transporting from booking to the county and when we got to county she still had a set of keys on her with a little knife keychain! Fuck I work with idiots, and can’t blame anyone but myself for not searching her when I took custody of her.

  • Al

The law is the the same for all, no matter about the age of the citizen.

  • Gman

Officer you can’t let some cranky old lady get under your skin Cartman.

He’s the department Tazer instructor? The old lady is lucky he wasn’t the firearms instructor.

The ABC video is much more complete.

Madam, your just as much an ass as he was.

  • DoubleTap

Yup ass vs. ass. They were both stupid.

  • Tim Roesch

The age of the woman is, or should be, a side issue.
What is department policy, did the police officer follow it. That is the question.

    Points:
They were near a busy road (I noted at least one car racing past). What would the outcome have been if she walked into traffic or pushed him into it?

Did the officer have reason to believe she was drunk or otherwise incapacitated?

In an orderly society the police should be trusted. If they say stop you should stop. If we can not trust them then something needs to be done.

I would want to see the entire issue. I have seen some dangerous old biddies and I have been one of three trying to bathe a hostile, bitting, scratching, Alzheimer’s patient (in her late 70s) who surprised the hell out of me with her well aimed punches and kicks and her strength (I was training as a CNA at the time). I have seen a 90 year old, senile dementia patient chew and writhe her way out of restraints. I have seen skin come off and bones break with simple hand holds on elderly people.

Let’s save the fuck stick comments until they are more deserved. Let’s call this one a draw.

  • BigTex

I think the big problem here is the trend for more and more officers – both Highway Patrol and local municipalities to fall into the “I must resolve this immediately and prove I’m in charge” mentality.

They have to realize that while some citizens are just disorderly assholes, others react off of their attitudes in kind. If you’re bellicose and act like a dickhead when making a traffic stop or arrest, you’re more than likely gonna get some kind of weird reaction from the arrested party. I don’t think the average citizen seeks to confront armed lawmen on a regular basis.

While this woman appeared to be a cranky old Texas redneck bitch, the cop didn’t have to taze her. He could have de-escalated the situation and calmed her down verbally but he wanted to prove he was in charge and smack her down for her disrespectful attitude.

After all, it’s a speeding ticket, not a goddamn bank robbery – and we know more often than not, the officers use discretion on who they choose to stop, who they ignore, and most tickets these days are for revenue generation – not public safety.

aw shucks just fun and games, brings back memorys.
