Even when the 10th police car pulled up they all seemed to me moving in the direction of the perp and not toward the poor bastard in the pickup. What’s the protocol for looking after the innocent victims in a case like this? Do the police have to secure the scene first? Strikes me as curious is all.

I saw that the guy in the truck wasn’t hurt too badly, he was out walking around. He suffered minor, minor injuries, but what else would you expect? He was driving a truck that was built solidly. For the impact, the truck driver came out of it good.
Can you imagine what would’ve happened if that was a Smart Car that got hit? Yep, Obama would love for us all to drive those deathtraps.
