Normally I am all in favor of free market capitalism and private ownership….except in cases where there is a compelling public interest. This is one of those cases.

WTF gives VDOT the right to sell something they don’t own in the first place, namely public access roads? Transurban Group didn’t pay for the road, taxpayers did. Private companies buying a monopoly business is not capitalism, its fascism.
