I wish Sarah well, but this move will embolden the liberals to be as vicious as possible with all conservatives. No one objects, and the results are to suppress those who oppose them.

As the Governor she is a “public figure” for whom the laws of slander and liable are greatly relaxed. As a private citizen she gains leverage in any fight with the media that has defamed her. Slipping off center stage for the Dems attack machine may not be all bad … she probably could use a breather — not to mention the financial burden of defending against all the frivolous (and harassing)law suits.

Secondly, I agree with Charles Krauthammer that she is young and in 7 or 8 years her children (save Trig) will be grown and she will have a much easier time being on the road. In the interim she becomes a student of international affairs and a champion of conservative principles.

Finally, if she slips of the Dems radar screen for a couple of years she can re-emerge as a more polished and authoritative speaker with enhanced credentials and fewer personal distractions. But she has made an error by giving the Dems a new label to apply to her — “Quitter”. But she can fight that with a simple heartfelt interview on Glen Beck or Hannity where she lays out her personal reasons for not finishing her term.

Maybe she’s leaving office so she can devote her full work schedule to unraveling the spider web-like organization that attacked her in the press so successfully using Alinsky’s rule # 13 & others.

Perhaps this time next year she’ll start announcing lawsuits against the Leftys, names that everybody knows, and uses Alinsky’s little tricks against them for a change.

Gov. Palin strikes me as someone who relishes payback, dis-proportional payback, the kind that cannot come to fruition if you’ve got a full time job.

These guys just don’t get it.

She’s a rock star on her own.

That is what scares the shit out of the “political class”.

    Political class, theres an oxymoron.

She’ll won’t need the Republicans if she’ll galvanize the discontent that exists in the country.

She’ll end up as a lightening rod for that discontent if she can harness the ability to reach out to the people.

I believe Mohammed Ali called the strategy “Rope-a-dope”. The leftists will continue to attack her - let ‘em. When she’s ready to go on the offensive, the libs won’t have anything left. She’ll mop the floor with them.
