Obama Administration Threatens To Seize California Land
About a week after Obama turned down Schwarzenegger’s request for financial help…
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - The California governor’s office says federal officials are threatening to seize six state parks if they are closed to help balance the state’s budget.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed closing 220 state parks.
But the National Park Service warned in a letter to Schwarzenegger that six of those parks are on former federal land that could revert to the U.S. government if they are not kept open as parks.
State officials say they’re trying to work with federal authorities to forestall a possible seizure. The state could also lose federal park funds.
The parks are Angel Island and Mount Diablo near San Francisco; Point Sur in Big Sur; and beaches at Fort Ord Dunes near Monterey, Point Mugu near Malibu; and Border Fields along the Mexican border.

The feds steal the land because it was once federal land? What kind of logic is that? So why not give the land back to the Native Americans? Or the Mexicans? This has to be the most ARROGANT administration we have had in decades!
So Americans will be denied access to our own country,which is already paid for by our tax dollars.Those of us that hunt and fish have been taxed again by paying for our permits.Yet the illegal alien money give away continues.Sickening isnt it.At some point Californians will have no services at all.I encourage everyone there to start paying your taxes with IOUs
Don’t you all think Arnie might be involved in this? He’s been Governor for a long time, and he knows what kind of shape Cali has been in since he was elected. He didn’t do anything to fix it. If he was true to the conservative cause, don’t you think he would have done what Rudie did with New York?
Remember, he was in Washington the day the public voted on the tax raises, begging Obama for a bailout.
Of course he is involved.He refuses to stop the unsustainable illegal money give away.
Arnie tried to do the fiscally responsible move when he was first reelected by trying to limit the unions here. Unfortunately, he took them on all at once and lost in a huge way.
Since then, he hasn’t pushed much of an agenda. Damn RINOs.

I’m here on the Central Coast & I grew up here (why did I ever leave Texas @ 26 - :roll:).
I know FOR A FACT, that in the area of the first five parks listed in the article, they have very significant populations (hundreds in each area) of trust fund babies.
Liberal Dems, ALL OF THEM.
Between all of them, they donate tens of millions of dollars every election cycle (2 yrs.).
I guarantee you these fucking hippies are burning up the phone lines to the White House & Congress about their precious little park being closed.
Dem Pols bend over and grab their ankles for these hippies cash.
The fucking hippies think of the parks as theirs and only theirs cos these parks don’t get hoards of visitors.
