Obama Says He Must Seize Control Of America’s Health Care To Save Us From Doctors Maiming Children

AP: In trying to rally support for health care overhaul, Obama described a patient who sees a physician for a sore throat, or a parent who brings in a child with a sore throat.

“Right now, doctors a lot of times are forced to make decisions based on the fee payment schedule that’s out there. … The doctor may look at the reimbursement system and say to himself, ‘You know what? I make a lot more money if I take this kid’s tonsils out,’” Obama told a prime-time news conference.

The president added: “Now, that may be the right thing to do, but I’d rather have that doctor making those decisions just based on whether you really need your kid’s tonsils out or whether it might make more sense just to change â€” maybe they have allergies. Maybe they have something else that would make a difference.”

Amazing, he not only condemns the Cambridge Police as “stupid”, he now calling doctors and healthcare professionals opportunists and criminals. Right there in primetime, the president believes that only he and the dems can save US ALL from the money-hungry doctors and healthcare professionals. The very same people that will treat you under their plan. This man is utterly fucking clueless and is so brainwashed by his own rhetoric, he can even realize what he’s saying.

There is medical evidence that tonsils serve a definite purpose: in this case immunological.
Doctors don’t routinely do tonsillectomies.

Also, there are definite signs and symptoms that would lead a doctor to consider allergies. In fact, allergic reactions can result in death so these signs are looked for (difficultie breathing, swelling, reddening of the skin, etc).

A doctor wouldn’t simply DO an allergy test.

Like Obama’s ‘stupidly’ comment concerning the police officers of Cambridge, MA, this comment displays a woeful lack of even basic knowledge of how doctors should operate.

His comments concerning doctors are alarmist and ignorant and, I say it again (and will so say it in my blog), indicative of a lack of the most common of sense.

Obama needs to shut up about matters he knows little or nothing about.

What and arrogant SOB. He has no comprhension of what goes into the critical & clinical mindset when making medical decisions. We have standards of care which we live by and a tonsellectomy is never an alternative to routine care. Typically it requires a certain set of criteria to be met…..i.e. 5 or more documented cases of tonsillitis in a 12 month period, etc, etc. Allergies are in no way related in a decision making process to remove tonsils. A referral to an allergist after failure of the available antihistamine treatments would be. This is why he nor the gov’t should not be involved in healthcare (as well as the Constitutional reasons).

Then he goes on to the blue pill, red pill crap…..I about broke my TV watching that trash. Truly amazed the AMA did not fry him today.

The guy is a hack idealogue nation destroyer!

The whole thing was just awful on his part and proved further how inadequate his capabilities are to lead.

Then again…maybe it is just the white doctors yanking the tonsils out of your kids! For God’s sake give me a break already….who would want to go into medicine under these conditions.
