As we know from our interactions here with the ignorant leftists, the main problem in Afghanistan is the sheer lack of knowledge and education of the people outside of the few major cities, and even then those in the Afghan cities are somewhat bereft.

Both Michael and Pat made the point – strongly – that the Maggot Media does not go out into the countryside to follow the battles and activities, but sit in their safe hidey-holes subsisting on rumor and innuendo, which they dutifully report as ‘fact’. The same is true of the various Administrations policy makers – Prime Minister Brown of the UK stood and said that the UK Forces don’t need any additional helicopters, when that is a demonstrated need as the UK Forces are reliant on the US to provide them with everything from supply drops to site transfers to Medivacs. How many of their WIA’s turned into DOA because they lacked efficient and timely transport? I’ll tell Brown — one is too many, as it gives you the excuse to allow the second one, and those following!

Michael also turned around the concept that our government is pushing, the “reconstruction” of the Afghan Society. Most of the country is still living in the stone age; they are in the interregnum before our Middle Ages – there’s a long way to get them close to our concept of civilization, a hundred years or more. All leading back to education, and what the lack of it does to keep good people down in poverty, with or without civilization.
