If I were in the military and ob was my prez I would be looking to get out anyway I could.
Because they are going to nail someone for some combat military infraction and put them away in jail.

Yes, cllucas, and now with the new ROE, the Tali’s can shoot from homes, and the military must withdraw. It’s good to know that our fearless politicos value the sacrifice of our young men so much, and the lives of the Taliban even more.

The ‘avoiding military casualties’ is a result of the action in Marjeh, where the Marines were suckered into a fight in a civilian area, where the Tali’s were pulling civilians into compounds and firing on coalition forces from them. They claimed 120/140 CIVCAS, but that of course, was insurgent propaganda. Needless to say, lawyers and arm-chair quarterbacks POURED over strike video until they found a minor mistake. Once the mistake was found, reporting (without any iota of comprehension for conducting Close Air Support (CAS)) expanded on their limited perception of military operations.
