CNN:

A U.N. tribunal convicted two Serb cousins Monday of having burned alive more than 100 Muslims in what the presiding judge called a part of the “wretched history of man’s inhumanity to man.”

Milan Lukic and Sredoje Lukic were convicted of crimes dating back to the early 1990s, during the bitter ethnic conflict that ravaged the former Yugoslavia.

The crimes include two incidents in which Muslim men, women and children were forced into homes that were then set on fire — and some who tried to escape were shot.

Milan Lukic was found “guilty of persecutions, murder, extermination, cruel treatment and inhumane acts, as crimes against humanity and war crimes, in relation to six discrete incidents,” the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) at the Hague said. He was sentenced to life in prison.

Sredoje Lukic was found guilty of “aiding and abetting the commission of the crime of persecutions inhumane acts, murder and cruel treatment.” He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The court found Milan Lukic responsible for the murder of 59 Muslim women, children and elderly men in a house in the town of Visegrad. “On 14 June 1992, the victims were locked into one room of the house which was then set on fire,” the tribunal wrote. “Milan Lukic was found to have placed the explosive device into the room, which set the house ablaze. Milan Lukic shot at people trying to escape from the burning house.”

Sredoje Lukic “knew what would happen to the victims that he helped herd” into the home, the court wrote in its judgment.

Milan Lukic was also found guilty of the murder of at least 60 Muslim civilians in another house in Visegrad later that same month. The court found that he and others “forced the civilians inside the house, blocked all exits and threw in several explosive devices and petrol, setting the house on fire.”

In all, the court found that Milan Lukic “personally killed at least 132 Muslim people.”

The defense for both men denied the accusations against them, but the evidence demonstrated their guilt, the court said in its judgment.

“The perpetration by Milan Lukic and Sredoje Lukic of crimes in this case is characterized by a callous and vicious disregard for human life,” presiding judge Patrick Robinson said.

“In the all too long, sad and wretched history of man’s inhumanity to man, the Pionirska street and Bikavac fires must rank high.

“At the close of the twentieth century, a century marked by war and bloodshed on a colossal scale, these horrific events stand out for the viciousness of the incendiary attack, for the obvious premeditation and calculation that defined it, for the sheer callousness and brutality of herding, trapping and locking the victims in the two houses, thereby rendering them helpless in the ensuing inferno, and for the degree of pain and suffering inflicted on the victims as they were burnt alive.”

How can anyone justify killing innocent men, women and children like that? That’s not war, that’s murder.

I don’t care that they are muslims, they weren’t fighting the troops, were they?

What would you say if muslims, or anyone else, did that to us over here?

I don’t know, this whole innocent civilians thing really never mattered until Viet-Nam. The allied firebombing of Germany and Japan killed 100′s of thousands of civilians, and I believe they were completely justified.

Yeah you don’t herd prisoners in and execute them, but killing civilians has ALWAYS been a part of war. General Curtis LeMay seems to have been one of the best voices for this, he always said the purpose of war is to kill as many of there people as fast as you can so they have to surrender or be whipped out. I think that sometimes includes more than just those in uniform, especially when you fight a cowardly enemy who hides in the civilians.

      Touche’ John.

Sorry, I can’t believe I forgot about that. I even watched a video about that last night too.

Killing innocents should never be a goal in war. You work to avoid killing innocent people but it is impossible to completely avoid it.

These assholes made it a goal to kill civilians just because they could. It does not matter if they were muslim.

And since it says this was posted by Erik Wong and I assume her wrote in that bolded part, you are no better if you wish death upon civilians.

    • Scoot

I see your point, ArchInfidel. But it just seems wrong to be killing someone that isn’t pointing a gun back at you.

One thing is true. War is hell and extremely complicated, and I’ve never been involved in one. Maybe if I had, I’d more than likely have a different opinion.

  • Knighthawk

Maybe we should have a US Tribunal for Janet Reno and the ATF for crimes against US Citizens.

you know what you call a 100 burned muslims?………a good start

Sad as it was the killing of men, women and children.
This was pay back for the Muslims doing the same thing to the Serbs, during WW2.
The only reason the Muslims were in Serbia in the first place is, because they killed the Serbs and took over their houses and all during WW2.
In war there are no innocents. In how many movies have you seen, where everyone is killed except a young one. (Like Conan the Barbarian.)
Who after getting older goes out and takes vengeance on those who did it.
If all are dead no vengeance.
This war in Serbia is not dead. They waited 50 years after WW2, they will wait another 50.
Maybe we should make the Muzzys do what some people want the Israelis to do.
Have the Muzzys go back to Saudi Arabia, which was where they originally came from.
Most of the lands they conquered were Christian lands.

    • The Dreaded Atheist

Want to guess how many Muslim refugees Saudi took during the Serbian bullshit? ZERO!

Saudi’s idea of “help” is shipping a plane full of Korans.

While I was in Bosnia I saw the damage done by all three sides, the Croats, the Serbs, and the Bosniaks. I haer about the crimes that Serbs were guilty of. Not one mother fucker has had the balls tostand up and point to the gang raping of Serb Orthodox women and girls prior to their being executed while the priest is rolled up in fabric from the church, soaked in gas, and burned alive. No one is out hunting for the Black Swans. Fuck that! Srebrenica was a good start! They should have thrown more off the cliff. No one balks or even blinks at the event in Bugojno when the muzzies came in and rounded all the men into the soccer stadium. They then executed them en masse with machine guns, children from tiny youth up to old men, just like Stalin did to his own people. Fuck them! clinton sent us in there to help the fucking muzzies, the poor fuckers, and 9/11 is how they thank us! The muzzie broptherhood in America is how they thank us! News letters from hizb ul-tahrir titled Khalifornia is how they fucking thank us! Hell, these two Serbs did nothing bu fight in a war. Where are all the investigations into the shelling of civilians inside UN Safe Zones? What the fuck about that? You know, the UN(reliable) would cordon off an area and keep all arms and munitions out so the people there could stab and bludgeon each other like civilized humans. Meanwhile, like in Petrovac, the artillery batteries and tankers would encircle the “safe zone” and shell the liviing shit out of the people there!! Where is the fucking outrage on that? Where is the fucking outrage about the Croats rolling petrol trucks into Bozanski Grahovo and using the petrol to soak and torch the entire town, men, women, and children running for their lives and several getting killed. Oh yeah, that torching was retirbution for the JNA battery that had been stationed there for a short period defending the town.

That is my rant for this topic. I need a cigarette and more coffee. I hope these Serbs get better treatment thatn the bloody, psychotic mass murdering fuckhead named Rude Bakovic. That mass murdering fuckhead went into the tiny and pleasant little town Duvno, slaughtered 9 families (on orders from the Croatian Army) just to increase ethnic tensions. Oh, that town is now called Tomislavgrad. A town in Bosnia is named for the first crowned king of Croatia because of ethnic slaughtering. And no one gives a fuck about anything but hanging the Serbs.

    Ciggy time

Well, I for one would certainly like to hear more about the untold part of this story.

Strange how this stuff never seems to make it to the American citizens.

Seems that our citizens need to hear more from those that were actually there, rather than what the politicians want us to believe….

      Thanks for posting Tarantula.

    • Tarantula

Terry, THANK YOU for the comment. It is a relief to know that I am heard from time to time.

Yes, I should like to have the time to put into researching those events and pulling it all together fo rthe rest to see; however, I think it would fall on largely deaf ears since it would be in violation to what “they” want the people to think, feel, and how to respond.

      Thank you, Again, Terry.

I wish someone would define “innocent”.
The civilians who tolerated Hitler or put him in office were not “innocent” they were part of the problem.
The Japanese let the war lords do as they pleased and they STILL will not admit or take responsibility for the incredible slaughter and abuse of people all across Asia in the name of the Emperor. Who we allowed to stay in “office” as part of the “unconditional surrender” BTW.
I do not buy this “innocent civilian” crap. While I do not advocate killing unarmed kids (there is a line they better not cross however) I figure if you do not want to die in an air strike as “collateral damage”, or get killed in a firefight don’t let the bad guys live/operate out of your house or neighborhood. Its a simple idea.
When I was serving in a combat zone I was willing to kill *anyone* I thought was a threat and I sure as hell was not going to give them the first shot if I could avoid it.
A lot of “kids” were killed in VN while carrying weapons.
I was lucky, we did not operate around villages much, we just had NVA (most “VC” were NVA too) so I did not have to worry about shooting 10-12 year olds with AKs. I know some people who were not so lucky.

Now our people have to make sure there is no chance of “collateral damage” before opening fire in many cases. I wonder how many bad guys get away to kill some American later via this horseshit?
