If you havent got one, get one.If you are unfamiliar with guns,stay away from the 3 hour class deals.You need a good 8 hour shoot and scoot class.Here in Colorado it cost 152.00 bucks to get the permit.Prices range for the classes.Anybody in N Colo looking for a great instructor,contact me ,and I will get you in touch with my favorite gun folks.
Yes, indeed … Colorado is not “backed up” with CCW’s, for whatever reason. The advice that GRIZZ provides is sound. And .40 caliber S&W is such a great round.
I got mine when Obama won the election but hadn’t taken office yet. It took about 6 weeks here in Utah. Oh, and use a 45 ACP because shooting twice is silly.
Florida is backed up too. Took 5 months for my DH’s to come. I have the paperwork all done, just need finger printed to send mine in.
Don’t wait too long westcoastgirl. Florida is backed up, too. I was told to get a return receipt when I mailed mine so I could make inquiries when when 90 days goes by. They are buried.
I’m in FL. Took approximately 4 months to recurve from the time that I maile off my prints and $$. I have friends thatsos it in the same timefre and are still waiting.

These numbers are staggering, someone ought to inform the elected officials their political ass is on the line unless the bureaucracy gets it’s act together.
So you can legally carry till the chumps decide to pass emergency legislation banning all weapons permits then
we are all criminals for defending our constitution so
whats the point in the permit? (other than possibly stopping a real criminal in the time being)
I can see a conflict coming but how and where?
maybe a teaparty turned into a 68 style chicago riot

I had a CCW in another state for a time. I won’t get another one. A CCW is a “government” issued ticket. Me and the government are enemies, no sense in giving my enemy a head’s up. Doing my best to delay LE or Ofuck’s thugs in determining that I own a gun. They will eventually when they really start looking, but I won’t make it easy for them. CCW issues are on record. Hell, there’s a newspaper in Iowa that publishes the names and addresses of all new recipients of CCWs each month.
My sentiment exactly! Why give the government more information about what I have for defense, since they will undoubtedly revoke a CCW permit in any case, right when you need it most.
For those of us stuck because of jobs and family in the “peoples republic of California” there is only one option….although unknown to most…and that is OC or “open carry”. It is your right!!! and legal but be prepared to be prove you have the right. For more info go to californiaopencarry.org
got my NH one and getting my NC one…if the day comes to have it revoked i guess my pistol/s will be “stolen” from me, never to be seen again
