A True Patriot Tells Her Story: The Austin Texas Townhall
This is a 100% true accounting of my experience at the Lloyd Doggett Town Hall meeting at Veterans Building, Austin, Texas, 8/6/09

Just to set the scene:
I am a white woman, 67 years old, 5′2″ tall and weigh 115 pounds. I am usually very healthy.
I was at the first Town Hall that Doggett gave, but didn’t have a sign; just my voice… and just yelled. He called us (all senior citizens) “an angry mob”.
Today, I guess I was an Angry Mob of One.
At 3:15 p.m. when I arrived back at my home, I was still trembling and flushed from the heat and took my body temperature. Normally my temp. is 97.8. RIGHT NOW, it is the same degree that I was walking in for an hour and a half - 106 degrees Fahrenheit!!! That translates into a heat stroke. And my husband served our country, was terribly wounded and I couldn’t stand on federal property with my sign.
My experience at the town Hall meeting with Lloyd Doggett August 6, 2009
It was on the news this morning that Doggett would be having another Town Hall meeting today at the Veterans Affairs Center. Since my husband has used that Center (as a retired General with 90% Viet Nam disability), I had my ID military card and proceeded to go in. I was not carrying any type of bag or purse — only my sign.
In the sign in area, the clerk behind the counter looked up my card, found me on the computer, and told the policeman that it was “o.k” for me to go in to the small auditorium. I had my poster with me. On one side was a blown up photo of my husband graduating from West Point and shaking the hand of John F. Kennedy.. it’s a great picture! On the other side, I had written: “NO MORE LIES!!!”
As I entered there were about 4 police officers in the blue uniforms and a lot of other people walking around talking on their walkie-talkies and checking everyone before people were allowed in.
I went into the small auditorium, (more like a small movie theatre with 2 aisles) and sat down on the back chair facing 3 men who were my generation and had on their Army caps. And we began to talk.
Within 5 minutes a police officer (blue uniform) came and got me and told me I had to leave with my sign because I was on FEDERAL property. I asked “where can I go?” His answer was “come on out with me and I’ll ask my supervisor”. So I did and a few minutes later (all the while people are coming in and I’m standing there in the lobby holding my sign), he came back and said “you will have to go outside”. I said “It’s 106 degrees outside”! I knew that because I had just seen it in my car which tells the temp. I couldn’t hear his reply so I leaned in a little and his response was: “back up, don’t get close to me”! Now, here I am trying to hear and do what I was asked and he is afraid of me! I backed up and asked him again where was the closest place I could stand and could I stay in the air conditioning”. His answer was “No, you have to go out on the sidewalk with your sign”. In front of the building there are several rows of cars and a wide cement area when you first come out of the building. Near one of the arches, I saw some shade and so I walked over there and stood with my sign.
Within 5 minutes, another police officer came over to me and told me I had to go out on the street sidewalk. This is a very wide 4 lane street with an old sidewalk. There is absolutely no shade.
I told him I would obey and for the next hour and a half I walked up and down along the highway in front of the building with my sign. The temperature was at least 106 degrees - which is typical for Austin in August.. For the first hour there was no one else walking or in the sun. Just me and then 3-4 people came out with small signs for Obama and they just wanted to fight… I’m too old to fight, so I just kept on walking. I got a lot of thumbs up and horns… and one car stopped with 3 people in it that I declare I have seen on the street panhandling here in Austin, and they called me a delusional old woman”. Since I’ve been called worse, I just kept on walking.
Give me Liberty or give me death.

Welcome to the Chicago thug president’s rulz for radicals treatment. I’m sorry you were treated this way Susan. Obama is counting on people like you being demoralized and shut out. He ran his campaign this way, he is running the White House and our country this way. We cannot back down to this and let it win. God it never stops going lower and lower. I’m proud of you Susan!! In the early ’80’s I lived in Austin for 9 months (for work, not school), I know Susan’s comment is true cos I saw the same behavior back then. Hippies (the only accurate description) challenging anyone they disapproved of and literally screaming for the Police when someone would stop and say anything in disagreement.
Apparently these Hippies types are there, still on Welfare, still on Food Stamps and still panhandling.
Maybe they think they’re above the law so long as Austin resident Willie Nelson doesn’t get busted for his Marijuana addiction.

Since Jan 20, 2009-It’s not hard to see that Barry’s agenda is easy to figure out. Just say NO to the Constitution! The sad part is, our elected officials seem to everyday one by one sell their souls to Socialism.
I’m proud of you and sorry our country has come to this. But, speaking as a “senior” we have spine and we aren’t going to back down. We can afford to lose everything but our freedom.
As Doc Holliday (Dennis Quaid) said of Wyatt Earp (Kevin Costner) in the movie “Wyatt Earp” … “It’s not revenge he’s afta, but a reckoning.”
A reckoning is coming very, very, very soon.
It is time for us to find “off duty” and beat the shit out of any federal workers that are helping Obama, like these fucks in Austin…….because they are front-line traitors.
They can make a choice, the Constitution or their “health”!!!!!

Keep up the good work. Write to editors of nation wide large city papers, TV networks, elected officials. You might be surprised who decides your trails are those of a majority of American. We are being shut out of political debates by what has become a new ruling class; sort of a new kingdom with those that must be called Senator or Congressperson, Sir and Mame. Of course the President on high.
Beware of those that demand respect for they have earned NONE.
Texas is my native state and I find this just deipicable. I am embarrassed.

Rep. Doggett owes Mrs. Prince a very public apology and a private meeting!! The fact that it has not already happened is a great disappointment.

We have one simple easy way to stop this. I continually hear this is a non-issue but all you have to do is a tiny bit of research and you will see this is true. Obama is not a “NATURAL BORN CITIZEN”. 59.9 million people did not vote for this administration and if half that number demanded his proof of citizenship status he would be out of office. If he is removed from office before he completes his first term then everything he has signed is null and void. If we look a little deeper we will find that the top 25 Democrats are aware that Obama is not eligible making them participants in a conspiracy to subvert the Constitution which is tantamount to Treason. This would set the liberal movement back 50 years and decimate the Democratic Socialist Party. I urge you to prove me wrong.

I live in a very rural area of central Texas and I seriously doubt that any of my congressmen will hold town hall meetings- at least I have not heard of any……
I am also a Sr. citizen and I will be so happy to voice my concerns about where this country is headed in any forum……I just need the chance. Thank you again for your stamina and courage.
Thank you SUSAN for showing spunk above and beyond the call of duty. I agree with 1 comment in particular; since when is the first ammendment null and void on Federal Property. Perhaps for an employee but not a private citizen. I will see if I can make a phone call and scald some ears tommorrow. I am seeing that Federal workers are starting to have to walk a careful tightrope, since the maladroit narcissist ascended the throne. Hopefully GOD will knock the cockiness out of him.
She should have told them she and her husband paid for the Federal Property and could walk on it when she wanted. God Bless her.
