AARP….Pissing down your back and telling you it’s raining!
I also read an article that the AARP ceo says that they “lose about 400,000 members a month on average”. This I find to be extremely unbelievable. AARP would have been bankrupt in 2 weeks if that were the case.

American Senior Association is picking up members left and right. They oppose health reform and the honorary president is Peter Marshall (from Hollywood Squares). They have an interesting website and are a conservative group. I joined today. Never been a member of AARP. They send me and my husband invites every other month and we keep on sending the info back to them in the postage paid envelope telling them to F off but they evidently don’t get the message.

60,003, my wife my sister in law and I just resigned tonight. If they lose 400,000 a month they would be right behing GM for a bailout.

I wonder how many military members (active, retired, veterans) have cancelled their policies with GEICO?
Of course they should obtain new insurance before cancelling or they could get caught in the middle. I’ve seen that happen.
USAA is great for the military and their families. You’ll rarely, if ever, see them advertise.
You are not a “member” but are a “shareholder”, thus at every year you get a refund (not dividend)for monies they didn’t have to spend. Take that GEICO and Progressive.
