dead-robber

HARLEM (WABC) — A store owner turned the tide on four robbers in Harlem Thursday.
Investigators said the four suspects, one armed with a Glock 9MM, entered a restaurant supply store at 523 West 125 Street around 3:10 Thursday afternoon and announced a robbery.
They began pistol whipping an employee. That’s when the owner of the store entered the room with a 12-gauge shotgun. He shot all four suspects.
Police arrived on the scene a short time later and found two of the men on the ground. One was dead. The other was taken to the hospital where he died.
Investigators searched the area for the other two suspects. Both were found in the area. Both had gunshot wounds. They were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
Police said three of the suspects were 21 years old. The age of the fourth was not known. No names have been released.
All this happened right next to a day care center, where teachers had to take children to their parents through police tape.
“No matter where you live, where you go, things happen unexpectedly,” one parent said.
Police said charges were pending against the suspects as their investigation continued.

“Failure of the victim selection process.”

No it was a failure of morals (right & wrong) the thieves would have been wrong no matter who they chose to steal from.

Now 2/4 will never steal from anyone EVER again. Give this shop owner some stimulus money!

If felons and dead people could vote in the last election, what’s keeping them from voting in the 2012 one?

    • BradW (the Infidel)

Amen. I bought a 12 guage strictly for home defense, and keep it loaded with 00 bucksot. which was hard as heck to find. the 9mm stays in the car, the .243 and .30 carbine stashed for long range if it is necessary.

  • http://x JB

I love my Glock but I reach for my 12 gauge first.

  • Burlington

If he shot them with a handgun they probably would have him in jail by now.

If it was a tricked out tactical shotgun he still might be in trouble.

A 9mm Glock is not good for pistol whipping anyway.

  • Sebastian

32000 die from gunshot wounds every year in the US.
Similar figures to Brazil and South Africa.
    These four join them.

Well, by some standards Italians count as white….

  • reagan54

What would have happened if the store owner did not have a gun? I’m sorry the day care children had to go through “police tape,” but at least they were able to go through the tape and not out on stretchers.

    • reagan54

The more I think about this, maybe this might be a teaching lesson for the young children: try to rob someone and it might not work out.

  • Tarantula

:gun: now THAT’S gun control I can support! Hitting your target! :gun:

  • echo victor81

The store owner said he got the shot gun 20 years ago when he was first robbed, he’s had it under his desk ever since.

When I saw this on the news, they said three dead, one at large?? Two of the three were close to the front door, the third was found by the blood trail he left across the street and was transported to the hospital where he died. Did anyone else see the same report I did?

  • Double Tap

A Restaurant Supply store? This speaks to the baseline stupidity of these four. What were they going to steal? All of the All-Clad cookware? This is not exactly a good bet for a high cash volume store.

Bravo to the store owner for removing some slime from the shallow end of the gene pool.

    • Mikey GaGa

The news here in lib land (ny) didn’t talk about it ,but the N.Y. Post the only local paper I read said that this business dealt in a large cash transactions. The NYPD spokesman also said that they were casing the place for the best time to attempt to take it down.

Good job dude, that’s two less shit-bags polluting the environment with their criminal behavior. Hopefully they didn’t reproduce before they got their ass blown away by Mr. 12 gauge. It’s funny how the gun control commies never bring up reports like this. I am glad this guy was able to exercise his 2nd Amendment rights. He should be given a medal.

  • BradW (the Infidel)

The sad part is, the owner will likely be targeted now by gun control zealots.

A couple years ago here in Cleveland several mom & pops stores were robbed, was making the news. One that had been in business for like 60 years was robbed, the owner, an elderly gent around 70 gave the robber a third eye, a real hero in my book. No one said anything agianst him, everyone was in support. Or so it seemed. The family of the POS that acquired the extra eye sued the owner thanks to a free lawyer that I have no idea who provided, and from the stress of defending himself in a civil action, the costs etc, he had to close up the store, he lost everything.

The family of the criminal? Were on welfare, still are, were suing for loss of familial support, income, what have you. The fact that someone with no job, who did absolutely NOTING to support family was killed in the commision of a violent crime, to me is a bonus.

That his family could actually sue the owner and drive him to close up shop, is terrible.

I am willing to bet the only support he provided came from drugs and robbery.

The whole family should be lined up…

  • echo victor81

When the story was covered on Fox by Geraldo Rivera, Geraldo said that if anyone tried to go after the store owner legally, he would personally lead a large scale effort to raise funds for legal defense of the store owner. I thought that was pretty cool coming from Geraldo.
