"They think Ethanol comes without a price. Like growing corn and making Ethanol doesn’t require energy and fossil fuels?"

I want to know who the person was, who's great idea was to waste what we need to eat as fuel for cars? When do we waste a very valuable commodity as food for a car?

Grow food for people, not cars.

You are right. This is a glimpse into their sick minds.

Notice how they had to give you CASH for clunkers. They couldn't make this a tax break. So they had to set up a whole system of bureaucracy to pay this thing out instead of letting a receipt on your taxes do the work. How many people did they have to hire for this? That, to them, is job creation.

Imagine that. They had to go and pull $2 billion in cash to fund this thing just so they could avoid the dirty Conservative phrase "tax credit" and take credit for creating more government jobs and selling their GM an Chrysler cars.

It astounds.

And their green policy is a joke.
They think Ethanol comes without a price. Like growing corn and making Ethanol doesn't require energy and fossil fuels?

They think electric cars are the answers. Like most of our power doesn't come from coal or oil plants?

These people have the logic skills of children...and that might even be giving them too much credit.

"and refuse to broadly equate “old” with “obsolete.”

This line jumped right out at me placed in the context of humans. Specifically, if the current administration views people while attempting to overhaul the health care system they way they view vehicles within the cash for clunkers system, we are well on our way to a Soylent Green mentality!

I was trying to explain this concept to some friends this weekend. They are unemployed and not looking for work because, "why should we when their benefits keep getting extended." Now, they are planning on using this program to get a new car. People are so caught up in how this government has trained them to believe that they are entitled to others money that all they see are $$$.
