Is Sarah Palin On The Road To Rhode Island?
BOSTON — Political blogs are abuzz with a rumor that former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is moving to Rhode Island.
The rumor was first reported Saturday by the Anchorage Daily News, which said the gossip is that Palin has “finally decided” what she is going to do with the rest of her life. Her plan, the column said, is to settle “in Rhode Island with $7 million from her book and a contract with FOX.”

“We would certainly welcome her,” Rhode Island Republican Party Chairman Giovanni Cicione told the Providence Journal. But he questioned why she would want to come.
Rhode Island would be an interesting choice for a conservative republican such as Palin. It’s among the most heavily Democrat states in the country. In the 2008 presidential election, President Barack Obama won 63 percent of the vote in the state.
“Anyone who wants to move to Rhode Island, we would have to question their sanity,” Cicione said.
And Rhode Island is the home of former U.S. Sen. Lincoln D. Chafee, who last year called Palin a “cocky wacko.”
Palin would be moving from Alaska, which is the largest state on the Pacific Ocean to Rhode Island, the smallest state on the Atlantic.
The Anchorage Daily News emphasized it was only reporting a rumor.
“There has been all kinds of speculation and rumors about what she would do next, and so our column has found it amusing to follow and note some of the rumors that seem to have currency from week to week,” Pat Dougherty, the paper’s editor, told the Providence Journal.

Having lived in AK for 6 years, I still miss the place. Sarah has her whole life up there, her kids, grand baby, etc.
But if she feels the call to move to the Lower 48 to help rescue our nation is more important than that, then so be it.
It would indeed be a lot easier for her logistically, and therefore economically, to be posted here in the lower 48.
