Rep Doggett met with constituents outside a grocery store in south Austin regarding the health care bill. Apparently the event was mostly advertised in liberal leaning local publications. He did not bring a megaphone, so hearing what he had to say was difficult. When he started making the move to leave, the crowd erupted chanting “Just say no!” His worker got the car ready to shuttle him away but the crowd surrounded it and it took a while for him to get out of the parking lot. The whole time, the “Just say no!” chant continued. It probably won’t matter - from his facial expression, body language, and what was heard to come out of his mouth, he’s for the the health care bill in its present form and has no openness to change on that.

When both political parties stop representing us Citizens then it is time to boot these corrupt politicians who only care about themselves and their special interest groups that funded them. Remember this President Obama for if you raise tax on the middle class you are a one term President. Bush Senior knows this when he made that infamous quote “Read my lips no new taxes”. You quoted no new taxes for those who makes under $200,000! Who politicians will whore for a vote by saying anything! Ho sad…how very, very sad.

There are some who compare this to the reception Bush received at various times.
As I remember such things, Bush received a polite reception from a majority of the crowd it was a vocal minority that shouted down meetings, same on college campuses when someone they didn’t like spoke.
