Bloomberg is running this place into the ground. He's more concerned with controlling every aspect of his subject's lives than dealing with aggressive panhandlers, junkies, muggers, rapists, and drug dealers. He's laying off cops to hire inspectors to make sure foodstands at street fairs are using King Bloomy-approved oil in the fryers. It'd actually be better if we had a mayor less competent at imposing his will on those unfortunate enough to be under his thumb. New York is a city of men, not laws.

I remember Giuliani offered to stay on the job after 9/11 and Bloomberg was like: "No, no, no: Term limits" and yet when it suited him, he managed to get it changed.
