WorldNetDaily:

WASHINGTON – Talk-show host Sean Hannity, a vocal opponent of Barack Obama’s policies, said today he would not rule out a bid
for the presidency in 2012.

Egged on by radio colleague Bill Cunningham, Hannity said he would consider entering the front lines of the political fray if God directs him.

“I’ve never made a decision in my life without – whatever destiny God has you’ve got to fulfill it,” he said. “I’m not sure that’s my destiny.”

Hannity would make a formidable candidate, with the likability of Reagan, good looks and strong convictions. He’s also a polished communicator and knows the issues inside out.

And he can debate.

Hannity hosts the second-largest radio program in America, after Rush Limbaugh, and a highly rated nightly TV show on the Fox News Channel.

While Obama’s approval ratings have been plummeting in his first year in office, no clear Republican frontrunner has emerged. The candidates most often considered viable include Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and Hannity’s Fox News colleague Mike Huckabee.

Cunningham, one of Hannity’s guests during a visit to Cincinnati today, said the nation and the Republican Party need Hannity.

When WND asked Hannity to repeat what he said on the air about a run, he said, “I ducked.”

Later in the program, a member of the audience asked what the host thought of a Hannity-Palin ticket.

The studio audience erupted in applause.

Hannity asked: “Would any of you really want me to run?”

Loud applause followed.

Hannity then asked, “How about I just stay on the radio?”

No applause.

  4. Mark Gibbons

    nitwit

  5. Scoot

One celebrity in office was good. We don’t need any more of them being in politics.

  6. dwall

Like Hannity on TV and AM radio

    not in the white house.

What happened to experience? We have one joker need no more.

  7. Hawkerdriver (Pisson the Koran

Hannity was signing the praises of GM cars again today…doesn’t add up.It was pretty bad, slathering praise on obamamotors like he had a fresh union check in his pocket..

    • Lock and Load

Hannity probably has an advertising contract with obambimotors… Rush did too for a while, but I haven’t heard him pushing them lately, so maybe he gave it up to avoid the obvious hypocrisy :???:

  8. Bob

I heard the show today. I would worry. If he did I’m not sure why it would be a bad thing.

  9. copperpeony

I like Hannity but we don’t need anyone who cannot brandish the sword of death. He is a weak person. Yup, I would vote for Pat or Ground Wizard.

Listen to him on the drive home quite a bit. He was singing praises before the Oblame take over of gm. probably still under contract. It does have an X-file feel when he does the singing. That said I don’t think he will get very far with a run for pres.

    • Sully

      X-files!! That’s it!!
THAT’S where I’d seen Barry before!! DOING ANAL PROBES ON ABDUCTEES!!
He was alot… er, ‘grayer’ then though.

“and he can debate”
you’ve got to be fucking kidding me…..
he couldn’t debate himself out of a paper bag.
unless you call debating repeating something over and over ad naseum……
If he runs, the elephants are done for another 4yrs…
    what a crock

  12. ROF

Egomaniac. We need someone who has shed blood, both the enemies and theyre own, to lead us. Not some radio talk show host. We need someone like Marcus Luttrell out front. Or that hot chick from Alaska  :gun:

    • Randy

Any names come to mind? I know Hannity is a talking head, but at least he is a conservative talking head. We need good conservative candidates and those are few and far between. Plus, he ain’t no politician or lawyer.

  13. dadeo

    Right, and Colmes for veep

  14. It would inspire my first ¨anti¨ song about a ¨conservative¨. Somewhere in the first chorus would be a couple of lines that mention: ¨cunt¨ ¨whiney bitch¨ and ¨get out of my fucking White House!¨

  15. BT

I like Hannity…as an entertainer. He is way too PC. I want a President who doesn’t believe in hyphenated Americans. African-American is freaking weak. You are either Black, White, etc.

  16. Bob

I think guys like Hannity, Rush, Levin are were we need them. On the radio. We need those voices out there to get conservative views out to public.

Rick Perry, John Boehner, Jim DeMitt would be some people I’d like to see as President

The Man’s trolley has gone off it’s tracks.

Really, I don’t know nor do I care. I stopped listening to him years ago. He pushes the ‘House Brand’ if you know what I mean.

If the Republican’s do, I ain’t, voting for them.

I started to listen to Jerry Doyle in 3-6 PM EST slot. Much more honest about the sh** going down in Washington.

I’ll give it a try. Savage is obsessed with this England thing.

    • ground wizard

savage was once a genius, but it seems he has gone off the deep end. he offers no realistic solutions and with break neck speed depresses the shit out of me. it’s does suck b/c i use to like listening to him.

It was a joke, folks! Sean is a good guy. He started his radio career in my home town. He lived in the apartment complex next door to one of my best friends. Together, we have protested against some candidates and rallied in favor of others by holding up signs on the side of the highway.
He brought Ollie North and Newt Gingrich to our area and gave us the chance to talk with both. This was before he was “world famous” but he is still the same generous, likable guy.
He owes Newt the thanks for giving him a chance to push on to the national scene but he got there with very hard work on his part.
No matter what he does in the future, I will always remember him as the very skinny young man who did his best to promote liberty and freedom for the American citizens and to help the Republican Party have a chance to grow in Alabama.

  19. tlk

I wouldn’t kick him out of bed for eating crackers.

  20. Chuck O

Hannity is OK but he’s not my number 1 pick.

  21. displaced chedhead

    Very intellectually bereft.
Talking points are shallow and repeated ad nauseam.
I listen to Shawn when nothing else is on.
I listen to Rush to educate myself.
