We have plenty of oil right here if we're willing to drill, or mine in the case of oil shale. 2. We have all the energy we need if we're willing to build new nuclear plants. 3. There are alternative energy sources that need to be properly researched and developed, not turned into eternal government grant programs. An X-Prize type of reward system would accomplish this. 4. The "energy crisis" didn't just happen, it was intentionally created. This is easy:

1. We have plenty of oil right here if we’re willing to drill, or mine in the case of oil shale.
