A Grim Reminder…Exclusive Audio Rekindles Horror Of 9/11…UPDATED Video Added.

Tami Michaels shared her horror with the entire KOMO News audience as the terror attacks on New York City were happening live on September 11, 2001.

KOMO’s Tami Michaels, and her husband, Guy Rosbrook, were in their room on the 35th floor at the Millennium Hilton Hotel in downtown Manhattan. Across a two-lane street was the World Trade Center.

Concerned there might be a secondary attack on the street below, Michaels and Rosbrook elected to stay in their room. While Michaels phoned in reports to listeners of KOMO Radio, Rosbrook unpacked their brand-new video camera and started shooting video.

The video has never been played on broadcast television, due to the intensely graphic images of people leaping to their deaths.

Michaels says she has received many offers from filmmakers and television producers to buy the tape. She says she never will. Michaels is sending the original copy to the 9/11 Memorial in New York, and not keeping a copy for herself.

She agreed to let KOMO Newsradio’s Charlie Harger make a copy of the audio portion of the tape, provided it was used in a documentary about the attacks. Until the documentary was released, the public had never heard the audio from the tape.

The video was played for the jury in the trial of the so-called “20th hijacker,” Zacharias Moussaoui. The judge suppressed the audio portion of the tape, calling it “too inflammatory” for the jurors to hear. Jurors only got to see the video portion, with Michaels describing what was happening from the witness stand.

Michaels cried. The jurors cried.

Moussaoui sat stone-faced, glaring at Michaels.

He later called the crying by the jurors and Michaels “pathetic.”

Upon leaving the witness stand, Michaels says she stopped in front of Moussaoui and stared directly at him.

“I looked him right in the eyes,” she says. She thought to herself, “I’m going back to my wonderful life. And you are going to a place with no windows and no doors.”

Moussaoui later avoided the death penalty and received life in prison.

    I don’t need a reminder. I was there, I saw the first plane fly over my head on Broadway and Spring Street. I was filming the North Tower when the second plane hit the South Tower. The footage I shot was used to time much of the other footage by NIST. I’ll never forget that day or the days and weeks that followed, I was in the city everyday till the Stock market re-opened. What a horror. F.ck those suicide ass holes.

    Tami Michaels in this recording, towards the end, she said she believes that we’ve lost the best part of what 911 gave us :arrow: “it unified this country, patriotism, flags were like flowers in the spring time, they have wilted and that’s what I hope this anniversary does and they remember what they felt that day and how they reached out to one another…and I think that’s been lost”.

      I listen to Tami every day on 770AM KTTH(she works there now). Most conservative radio station station in Seattle. Between 9am and noon, when she finishes with a traffic report or whatever at the breaks, she says, “and now here is Rush Limbaugh on KTTH, the Truth.” Sorry Mike, she definitely has a clue.

      Actually, very little of it, less than 5%, is actual 911 audio. The rest is her explaining what they saw.

      Never-the-less it is disturbing.

      It sill makes my blood boil to this day.

    Today is 9-9-09 or just 9-9-9, which in the UK will get you emergency dispatch when dialed. I don’t know how big numbers like that are to Koranimals (even though the Madrid bombings- 3-11-04 occurred 911 days after 911)- I just hope the Brits are several steps ahead of the demonic plotters infesting their country.

    I heard Tami’s show last year when she used to broadcast from 770 ktth- Michael Medved’s conservative talk station which now regularly also has Beck, Rush, Savage just name a few, and I believe she gets it. I think that is what she was also hinting at on this taped broadcast. Her Myspace account isn’t up to date- think she’s moved on to Facebook, but she has had a son and a nephew in Iraq and states quite proudly her support for the troops.
