Glenn Beck: “Bigger Then ACORN”

FOX News:

We’re about to show you some absolutely stunning video, but here’s what I hope you’ll keep in mind on this story: Everybody has this story wrong. While it obviously involves ACORN, it’s not about, ACORN.

We have been telling you for months now, that, as citizens, we need to be focused on the bigger picture.

The mainstream media completely missed the point on Van Jones, too. The left is still saying that I was “over-the-top” on my coverage of a special adviser to the president. Yet, in every case, they have glossed over the facts we presented over and over again to you.

Van Jones was a radical, revolutionary, self-proclaimed communist. Now each of those words came from him. The only time the media even referenced any of those issues was when they tried to equivocate about whether he was still all of those things when he was appointed.

Supposedly he changed his mind on communism. Really? First of all, I never saw him say that he’d disavowed any of it. If anyone in the press can show me his pivot point, I’d love to see it. I never have, but while looking for that, I did see this quote from Van Jones: “I’m willing to forgo the cheap satisfaction of the radical pose for the deep satisfaction of radical ends.”

But let’s say he mellowed. OK, how is it, that so many in the media are perfectly fine with a former radical, revolutionary, communist, having the ear of the president of the United States?

Are we so bereft of talent in a nation of 300 million people, that we have to accept a tax cheat as our treasury secretary — as Tim Geithner is? Or a guy who wants to de-develop our economy and redistribute the wealth in and among nations as our science and technology “czar” John Holdren? What about a guy who thinks that animals should be able to have attorneys and who thinks he can nudge the country into vegetarianism as does our regulatory “czar” Cass Sunstein?

I don’t accept that.

There are thousands of good Democrats, that don’t come anywhere near holding any kind of radical views like those I’ve just mentioned, who are capable of filling all of those key jobs in the administration.

The president said himself, when John McCain accused him of having Marxist friends… responded with this:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

THEN-PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE BARACK OBAMA: Let me tell you who I associate with. On economic policy, I associate with Warren Buffett and former Fed Chairman Paul Volcker. If I’m interested in figuring out my foreign policy, I associate myself with my running mate, Joe Biden, or with Dick Lugar, the Republican ranking member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, or General Jim Jones, the former supreme allied commander of NATO. Those are the people, Democrats and Republicans, who have shaped my ideas and who will be surrounding me in the White House.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

So far it’s not working to his advantage. We’re not talking necessarily about Marxism, but we’re now expected to believe and accept that the way to help people in the inner cities and to set them on a path of growth and education is to support with tax dollars an organization that has demonstrated its corruption over and over again.

Currently arrests have been made in 14 states — many of them led by state Democrats — for fraud, voter registration fraud, corruption, and the tapes that we’ve shown you that involve tax fraud, the selling of illegal immigrants into the sex trade, and just good old fashioned prostitution.

Now, the government will make speeches and throw you a bone about cutting off funding or access here and there, but until Republicans and Democrats rise together and demand a full, independent, rigorous investigation that doesn’t concentrate just on the local level, but goes all the way to the top — to the power brokers at the highest levels of ACORN and in our own halls of Congress and administration — it will all be a sham.

The smell of corruption is like a dead corpse. I cannot see how Obama will disassociate himself with this. He cannot. From Donald Young to Acorn..he is involved.

    • Bobby E

      My sentiments exactly.

  • Andrew J. Gamble

Right on the head. When they want to shut anything down involving the “minorities”, the left easily throws around a racist label and is afraid to stick up for what is right and wrong.

Have I just become so jaded, that I know (and like this warm fuzzy feeeling, oh by the way) TODAY. Because I feel we have made a big jump towards and end goal. But there are many who will give it up today because of the fuzzy feel, and they think it will take care of it’self, now cause we have shown people how it is. Now they can go back to their couch. ( This is my jaded part)Many will do just that. And I want to say to just stop anything from this day forward(funding to acorn) does NOTHING about what was in that Stimuluse package passed or Tarp or the Fannie Mae/Freddie mac bailouts. that money is still going to these “Fellow Americans” Stay on your feet–now is not the time for a break. Do it for anyone in this world who has ever dreamed of what it would have been like for them if they had just been born in America. God helps those that help themselves.(and others)

Keep hammering away Glenn. But folks, you got to realize, ACORN is like any typical mob organization, they have lots of dummy corporations, charities and such to hide where the money comes from and where it goes. It will take a RICO to figure it out and that isn’t going to happen with Holder.

The reason the mainstream media won’t report this story is they want this obozo reelected in 2012.

  • Jarhead68

Be still my heart…could this ACORN situation be the very thing we need to impeach the imposter?

There’s a sign for the next protest:

    IMPEACH THE IMPOSTER!!!

    • cold soldier

Yes it is what we need for impeachment, which is exactly why a “true” investigation will never happen.

  • gmiller

Find out what America really elected in Novemeber, 2008– read: “The Obama Timeline” (see http://www.colony14.net )

Signs and peaceful protests mean nothing. The culture revolution is over……and they won. In the news today the obama administration is pushing through congress a bill that makes ALL “non government” college loans ILLEGAL on 1-1-2010. The bill is expected to pass.
    So they own or control:
    The banking system
    The auto makers
The educational system (from K1 thru college)

Soon they will have health care and energy with obamacare(watered down or not) and cap and trade.
Do we still think Glenn’s peaceful protest is going to work ?? Here is a quote that sums up my opinion
on the efficacy of passive resistance in the face of the collectivist beast. . .
“Had the Japanese got as far as India. Gandhi’s theories of “passive resistance” would have floated down the Ganges River with his bayoneted, beheaded carcass” — Mike Vanderboegh.
Good luck with the passive resistance… I’ll keep preparing for the “clean up operation”. Sempher Fi

I agree USMC.I almost think they are egging us on in the hopes that we do get that warm fuzzie.I think they are laughing at us playing into thier hands in many ways, however – it is at least a START. I think we are better informed and aware than we were just 3 months ago.Back then,my G@#,we were asleep! (So was England in 1940.)Knowing your enemy very well before engaging always pays off as I’m sure you very well know..

      Just sayin…

Also – I hear all this talk of uniting everybody.I don’t want to be united with ANYONE who is for the other side! That’s why there is the other side!I want unity with and within those who will ENFORCE Borders,Language and Culture.I think we need more division than ever before in order to restore order. All those in favor say AYE !

Sorry for the rant,I’m off my meds today…
