Glenn Beck Update: Safeco Field Event

That’s Glenn on the right, 1973
Last week we reported on the city of Mount Vernon bestowing a “key to the city” to ubiquitous media talk host Glenn Beck at an upcoming event on September 26th.
It turns out Beck is going to be in Seattle for a major event at Safeco Field (home of the Seattle Mariners) that same day. On his website, Beck says the event is being presented by the Evergreen Freedom Foundation.
The schedule for the event calls for a private reception at noon, followed by a lunch and program at 1:00 p.m. and a book signing at 3:00 p.m.
On field tickets for the private reception and a photo with Beck are listed at $500 a pop, but they’re sold out, as are the $250 tickets for just the on-field private reception. There are $100 tickets available for an on field seat and lunch. Stadium seating with lunch is $50, or $25 without lunch (no outside food or drink allowed). So the cheapest tickets available allow you to sit in a stadium and not be allowed to have anything to eat or drink. Special add-ons include stadium tours for $20 and a book signing for $30.
And you thought going to Mariners games was expensive.
The name of the event is “Take the Field with Glenn Beck.”
It’s likely that after the book signing is over, Beck and his entourage will head up to Mount Vernon where he’ll be presented with his key to the city.
