    i have been in the belly of the beast (la times) with the major media powerhouses in this country. they (the old guard) still are under the impression that they control what people see, hear and believe. they determine what is important, not the people. they have recognized that the individual now has the power, not only to disseminate information, but to choose themselves what they deem important. They claim they have standards and controls….we all know the list of all kinds of false stories that have been put out over the years.

    the media is no longer in control and they have not figured that out yet. that is why they are in a death spiral now.

    They keep talking about information ‘filters’…I only hear “slant” or “spin.” What they are really bent out of shape about is that everyone with an internet connection has access to the same information, directly from the source (camera, video, phone, documents etc.) and can draw their own conclusions without the ‘help’ of the media.

    Classic obfuscation, nobody wrote anything that caused Jones to resign. He had to resign because of the open sewer that is his mouth and he spewed it on camera. Clearly Brokaw never bothered to watch the videos. Is there a second part? Did Rudy challenge this echo chamber, or did he sit there with a dopey grin on his face smiling like a fool?

    These guys prefer their disinformation the old fashioned way, television news.

    mainstreem media is of no use any more, they are a thing of the past. I lost all intrest in it, when i figured out most of the storys on 60 minutes were lies, and that they have been lieing to the whole dam country for years.
