Even if there are no riots, there will be massive protesting. This will put massive pressure on Congress. A significant number of military personnel will refuse to obey orders that can traced back to the (unconstitutional) Commander-In-Chief. Of course, we may end up with Biden as President, in which case we can only hope he’s a lame duck.

Assuming the President is taken out, normally it then goes to the VP (Biden), then Speaker of the House (Pelosi) then to the Majority Leader of Senate (Reid). Any of those would be a disaster.

Another option is if the election was declared null and void (eliminating both Obama and Biden), and in need of another election, who then would serve in the interim. My assumption would be Pelosi.

If you read it the statute says these persons will be nationals or citizens not natural born citizens;
there is a difference.

In order to be a natural born citizen, both parents must be citizens. The parents can be nationalized or what ever but they must be citizens in order for their child to be natural born.

The way I see it, the “ticket” would be out meaning Obama & Biden. I understand the point about Bush being re-seated, but as far as I understand the Constitution, elected or not, it would be a third term. Because of that, I doubt Cheney would be seated either. Unfortunately, I think Constitutional Succession would mean Nancy Pelosi would be seated as President and Robert Byrd as VP, or the VP would be appointed. All-in-all, it would be a huge Constitutional test since it’s something we’ve never faced as a Country. Not entirely sure if Pelosi would be allowed to serve out the remaining term or if the SCOTUS would rule for a special election.

That’s my understanding of it. Anyway it goes is going to be massive turmoil.

If I recall from my law school days (and I didn’t extensively study international law) I seem to recall that documents from foreign countries had to be authenticated by the US Embassy to be admissible in US courts. I may be wrong but if this is the case look for an objection to raised and likely sustained. I hope I am wrong….maybe someone more up to speed on this can enlighten us.
