Secret Service Probing Obama Assassination Poll On Facebook
The U.S. Secret Service is investigating a “poll” posted on Facebook that asked users the most unsocial, unspeakable question: Should President Obama be assassinated?
Edwin Donovan, a spokesman for the Secret Service, said the agency will take “appropriate investigative steps” in connection to the survey, which was posted on Saturday and was quickly removed when Facebook employees were alerted to its existence.
“We are continuing our investigation,” Donovan told FOXNews.com, declining further comment.
The poll asked respondents: “Should Obama be killed?”
The possible answers were “no,” “maybe,” yes,” and “yes if he cuts my health care.”
Facebook spokesman Barry Schnitt said a “third-party application” enabled an individual user to create what he said was an “offensive poll.”
“The application was immediately suspended while the inappropriate content could be removed by the developer and until such time as the developer institutes better procedures to monitor their user-generated content,” Schnitt said in a statement to FOXNews.com.
Facebook is now cooperating with the Secret Service, Schnitt said.
Bob Beckel, a Democratic Party strategist and FOX News contributor, said the individual responsible for the poll should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
“This is the kind of garbage that’s generated from the extreme right against Obama, and it’s going way over the line,” Beckel told FOXNews.com. “It’s got to be stopped. Find him, prosecute him and put him in jail.”
Regardless of political persuasion, Beckel said such threats are “un-American” and simply not acceptable.
“If they don’t like what Obama is doing, then maybe they ought to go out and vote for someone else,” he said. “But relying on this kind of attack is un-American and unacceptable.”
In November, prior to Obama’s landslide election victory, officials from the Secret Service declined to comment on the number of threats he had received, but they said they saw more threats against him than any other candidate during the campaign.

I have to agree that this is unacceptable and will not justify the question…but I do have to say that the Secret Service is protecting a usurper which makes them hypocrites, way to keep your oath to the Constitution SS!

Not only that, aTb, but I don’t recall any investigations with the threats made to W.
I have to say that we usually agree ATB, but… the caveat.
The Secret Service is supposed to be the most apolitical branch of our government and their sworn duty is to protect the President, no matter what windbag fills the slot. They will do their duty and investigate it, and then publicly admonish whomever made the poll.
Personally, I keep the thoughts expressed by the poll held close to my chest and don’t advertise how I feel one way or the other, and for good reason. It is never acceptable to publicly encourage the death of a sitting US President. The moment it becomes so, is the moment that no sitting President is safe, which would be a bad thing. Personally, I would retire from the Secret Service the moment I was scheduled to protect someone I didn’t feel was worth me dying to protect, but that’s me.
Anywho, in the mean time, we need to pay attention to happenings like this to ensure we differentiate between ourselves and the true nutcases. Each time we are called nutcases, Nazis, etc. we can have ample evidence as to why we can promptly demonstrate that we do not fit the category we are assigned…

I will wager with anyone that the person who initiated the poll was an agent provocateur liberal. The fact is, the list of legitimate threats is far shorter than those that were perpetrated by pretenders and deceivers to spread false fears, disinformation, and propaganda. Beckel and the rest of them can complain and continue to play the duck and cover game of obfuscation prevalent in our government and particularly this current Regime. We don’t need to call for assasination. Frankly, I and many others have prayed for anything that would deliver us from that malformed puppet and his masters/co-conspirators. But, I don’t even wish for a simple accident that would render any of them incapable any longer.
What we need to continue to call for and DEMAND is this: Complete and thorough legal investigation…prosecution TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW. Of Obama, Pelosi, Reid and every last S.O.B. who is guilty of non-feasance, mis-feasance and mal-feasance.
Treason of the worst kind committed by those in power should result in the worst punishment available.
