Mickey Ds is awesome and one third the price.

Actually, kinda partial to the good ol Dunkin Donuts coffee… plus they have donuts!
Kentucky Jim
I find Dunkin’ coffee much better than McD or any other fast place and especially better than Starbucks. Starbucks over roasts and make their brew too bitter for my taste. The KentuckyJim family motto is “fortes sed non acerbis”, that is, “Strong, not bitter.” That is how I like my coffee, my beer, my scotch, and my wife.
Screw starhole. I’ll never buy a thing from these commies ever again.

I never bought any of their overpriced shit to begin with.

Me Too!!! Over Priced and like Michigan State University – Over Rated! Go Blue!
Professor Bill
McDonald’s was rated better in taste tests.

Wow! What a novel marketing scheme. That’ll bring in the customers for overpriced coffee.
just posting
Starbucks is a smug liberal doushebag haven and always will be…obviously no offense if you go there its not everybody, but you know what i mean
TerryTate
I can taste the difference.
Starbucks sucks.

Well, this is only one more reason to NOT go to charbucks. They are a rip off! They cut there high quality Colombian beans with about 90% to 95% third rate Brazilian crap coffee. This is why Dunkin Donuts will ALWAYS be better … other than that, chrbucks just sucks!

They are a victim of their own making. Last year they had to close over 600 stores, but they put in free wi-fi. I go in to observe these mindless dolts ,with a Glenn Beck or Micheal Savage book (really pisses them off). What most of the customers do is buy a cup of this crap, drink about a quarter of it and then take it back and say it wasn’t a perfect shot. So, they get a new one. Then they hang out and tie up tables for half the day plugged in to the free wi-fi.
No wonder over 600 stores are closing, unless ‘The One’ gets them a bailout.
I worked for this company for a few years. I believe they had affiliations with ACORN.

Real nice. They just lost mt business. Did they make fun of these livid assholes who demonstrated against the war knowing full well the enemy bloodletted their countryment continually during the 1990s and the fact that nothing was done encouraged 9/11??????????
Secondly I no longer eat ben and Jerrys Ice Cream because they suport Abu Mumia Jama who executed Police Officer Daniel Faulkner. jamal has had at least seven trials and all of them have found him guilty, yet the you are doing this to him because he is black factor rages. Human Rights experts and ACLU groupies who do not give a shit about victims, of course.
Democrats of course.

How about a nice hot cup of STFU

Starbucks has always tasted like burnt coffee to me and its expensive to boot! McDonald’s is an improvement, but still tastes like bilge water. If you want the real deal when it comes to coffee, there is no better than Dunkin’. Not to mention, have you seen all the things they do for the troops both when they’re overseas and when they get home? For that alone, I will stay a Dunkin’ fan.

 is better.
Starbucks = Another freakazoid-managed business I’m boycotting.
Sheepdog
In my whole life, I was only once at Starbucks! Never again!

If Starbucks doesn’t have a counter add to this one, fuck ‘em. I only stop there during a caffeine emergency anyways.
On the other hand, I began to pull a bag of Dunkin’ Donuts brand off the shelf at the local store and found Procter and Gamble’s name on the back…same group that owns Folgers, I believe… AND one of the groups that pulled their advertising out from under Glenn Beck.
Brandon C.
If you buy the standard normal non-fancy coffee, Starbucks is competitive with all the other non-fancy coffee. Overpriced, not so much. But hey, if you wanna get pissy over nothing, have at it, right? Preach to that choir!
They should have a counter ad. But of what? I can’t think of anything that has quite the cultural currency.
And “makes fun of”? I think that’s a bit harsh, IMHO. *shrug*.

Brandon, I didn’t see your comment this a.m. or I might have been coherent enough to respond- on drip coffee or maybe a double tall Americano no less.
Two weeks ago I was hearing about the coarsening of our culture and the targets were Glenn beck, Joe Wilson, and the Tea “Baggers”- liberal media’s insulting term for the Tea Partyers.
No mention of, and how about: Kanye West intercepting someone else’s cup of coffee? Or Serena Williams threatening to pour a cup of instant coffee down a judges throat?
You are right that the ad is tame for those of us with thicker skin. But younger hearts and minds are always in play where the media and those that fill out their bottom line is concerned.
fathouse ballsander
I wouldn’t drink starfucks coffee even if I was paid to.
punisher55

They are a big sponsor at MSNBC….surprise!
The Mameluke
If that didn’t piss you off, check out what else Starbucks did a while back:
