California Prohibits Internet And Mail Ammunition Sales

The National Rifle Association:

This weekend, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) vetoed Senate Bill 585 but signed Assembly Bill 962 into law.

SB585 would have prohibited the sale of firearms and ammunition on the property or inside the buildings that comprise the Cow Palace in Daly City, just outside of San Francisco. Simply put, SB585 was a stepping-stone to banning gun shows on all publicly-owned property in California.

Unfortunately, the Governor did sign AB962. This bill requires individuals purchasing ammunition be fingerprinted and registered at the time of sale, mandates that dealers keep these records and make them available for inspection by the California Department of Justice. Ammunition retailers would also have to store ammunition in such a manner that it would be inaccessible to purchasers. Finally, mail order ammunition sales are prohibited under AB962. Over twenty years ago, Congress abolished similar requirements because ammunition sales records were found to be useless for solving crimes. AB962 is a dire threat to our Second Amendment rights in the Golden State.

Thank you to all of the NRA members who answered the call in opposition to SB585.

Time to open a ammo distribution center on calis state line.

    • SassySuz

That would make a few bucks. I have friends who shoot in California, but have a real had time feeling sorry for them. They have the government they voted in. I personally would never take a job in California again. The biggest problem is they export their stupid ideas and libtards to fuck up another state.

Just don’t be in Kalifornia when the sh!t hits the fan…

    • Xavier

It will just be a precursor to TSHTF (the shit hitting the fan) across the US.

    • SassySuz

Whose shits going to hit, they don’t do shit to control that state the mexicans run the south at war with the blacks, the blacks and gays run the Bay area. They don’t stand up for the Veterans and Patriots fighting for the Veterans land that was stolen. You all stand up for yourselves first too many pussies in California. Wake Up!

  • Kirk

Since California has done such a bang-up job stopping drug smuggling, how could anyone think this would deprive gang-bangers of black market ammo? Another nail, in the coffin of freedom. :gun:

  • David

Dunb asses! More useless legislation that penalizes honest citizens. Dumb asses!

    • David

DUMB not dunb! I can think, I just can’t type.

  • jdewberr

You’d have to wonder about the literature of the bill and whether or not you can bring ammo in across state lines. If you can, gun shows in bordering states/towns will be bedlam.

Anyone think that the Mexican drug gangs will see the opportunity and start kidnapping as a business in the People’s Republic?

This same senario will be played out nation wide as more and more state legislators and governors cave in to the anti-gun lobbies and the hue and cry of the liberal media.

Stock up now! Before it is too late and before there is no ammo to be found…this type of legislation will start another run on ammo everywhere.

BANG!Here is another lucrative and soon to explode black market.Cali is run by the most inept inbred Idiots in the states.

If I lived in Kali, I’d of dropped dead by now.

Arnold is now officially my enemy. His movies are banned in my home. We burned all of his DVD’s last night with the kids. I’ll stay in the rural area of California where I live if for no other reason than to have a target rich environment in which to operate when it starts. My oldest son said “Well dad I guess we now live in the peoples republic of kalifornia”. We’ve started making lists of everything “obama” in our town and surrounding area. You should start now….before the stickers and signs vanish.

I too am a fellow California victim. I wrote my pussy “Governator” as they call him and politely asked him to veto this piece of crap legislation. I told him that every day, he is driving out businesses and law abiding productive citizens. He is going to be left with nothing but gang-bangers, illegal aliens and his homosexual friends. I am on a daily mission to find a way out of this shithole! I won’t bring any of CA with me when I leave and I won’t tell anybody where I came from when I get there. My vehicle plates will already be changed over while I make one of my annual hunting trips to my targeted destination. When I settle in, I will work tirelessly to ensure that the fate handed California will not be an option where I am to relocate. Lock and Load and protect the perimeter. Keep the poison quarantined in CA.

  • Kim

First off, let me get this off my chest.

SassySuz, you call me a pussy again and we can take it outside bitch! And when you say we should “stand up for ourselves”, just how would you define that? Do you mean call, email, & write endlessly our legislators? or attend rallys? or speak up in townhall meetings? or get on our knees time and again praying to God for help? Because we do that. Or do you offer some more clever way? I wish you would. That would at least be constructive, rather than your holier than thou pontificating.

Sadly, too many are willing to leave the state rather than fight. I’m not sure I blame them, but it certainly makes the battle more tough for us that stay and call California our home.

  • Tommyknocker

I’m with Kim. A resident of the Central Valley, I am frustrated that the Liberal L.A. to San Fransisco coastal counties elect our officials.
The Govern-traitor also signed SB 670 this summer, that’s a moratorium on suction dredging. The law is illegal but the pack of lawyers in Sacto. rammed it through the legislature & the mining industry in Ca. got sold down the river by the Chief RINO. My point is that while operating a small commercial project in Northern Ca. this summer, a lot of people up & left the day we found out Arnold signed the bill. Others talked of leaving the state, etc. That’s when I realized that we are in real trouble ’cause few will stand & fight for our rights! I’m totally disgusted at the whole ball of crap…

I saw a lot of this coming down, which is why I left “the Golden State” and the cesspool known as the SF Bay Area long ago.

No regrets. Wish I had done it sooner.
