S. has been so tarnished in the last 8 years that, even Barack Obama making an unprecedented pitch for the games could not overcome the hatred the world has for us as a result of George Bush

    It is very simple to explain the first round vote of the IOC in which Chicago lost in it’s bid to host the 2016 Olympics; the members of the IOC are a bunch of older, white men. There were more Blacks in the US delegation in Copenhagen than there were in the crowd of IOC officials

    Chicago had long been seen as a front-runner and got the highest possible level of support — from President Barack Obama himself.     And, Aon has a policy guaranteeing that it will all be covered by voluntary contributions from TARP recipients.
