At a sold out DNC fundraising reception in San Francisco Thursday evening, President Obama pledged that he was ready to fight against anyone standing in the way of his priorities saying, “I want everyone to know who’s standing in the way of progress. I’m not tired. I’m just getting started. You can throw whatever you want at me. Keep it coming. We’re going to get this done. We’re gonna get health care done! We’re gonna get clean energy done! We’re gonna get climate change done!…”
The President also singled out conservative critics who he felt were not testing his ideas or his party’s proposals but merely standing on the sidelines and rooting for failure on health care reform and the economy, “When I’m busy and Nancy (Pelosi) is busy with our mop cleaning up somebody else’s mess , we don’t want somebody sitting back saying you’re not holding the mop the right way. Why don’t you grab a mop, why don’t you help clean up.”
A democratic source says the fundraising reception and more intimate dinner held earlier in the evening were expected to raise about three million dollars.

Does everyone NOT see where this is headed. I love our spirit of taking them on in elections; I keep hearing the rally cry of 2010, 2010 and 2012, 2012, but folks the time is NOW. Look at what has happened inside of 10 months. Do you really believe there are going to be any more elections? The way I see it, their intentions of doing away with them have been exposed to us for a long time and now O and the Congress is in place to get it done. Not 2010, or an even more distant 2012, but NOW!

When you see, on a daily basis, that they operate with impunity and without fear of us, then you have to realize they will not relinquish this power with something as trivial (to them) as an election. I will begin checking all the other organizations to see if we cannot mobilize and descend upon Washington just before the enemy has left for holiday recess. Bobby, I share your zeal, but I fear that with technology being what it is now days, at the first hint of “organization” , the feds would move to ruthlessly crush it, and put their own spin on what actually was being “organized”. I dont pretend to know what the answer is, although I ponder it daily.
I know where you’re coming from, cold soldier … I ponder this as well. But, what to do? I know that if the military does not help, or at least does not stand down, we would be doomed. Little by little something is going to emerge. There are those in O’s camp you will never change, but maybe we will reach a critical mass at some point.
