Last week, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano excluded Arpaio from a joint federal program that gives local law enforcement agencies the power to dragnet for illegals. In other words, only Arpaio is not allowed to arrest illegal aliens for their crime against US sovereignty.

Letter sent to Janet Napolitano and posted on John McCain’s website:

Janet Napolitano
Secretary
Department of Homeland Security
Washington, DC 20528

Dear Secretary Napolitano:

Recent reports regarding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) efforts to standardize Memorandums of Agreements (MOAs) with participating 287(g) jurisdictions have raised several questions. The majority of 287(g) partnerships across the state of Arizona have proven effective and it is our hope they remain successful.

Please provide an explanation of the review process ICE undertook in determining the new agreements and the possible implications the streamlined agreements will have for 287(g) partners in Arizona. Please explain the reasons for the differing agreements among the six participating agencies within the state. In addition, please provide the rationale for terminating the Task Force Model in Maricopa County and the criteria that made the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office ineligible to continue in the Task Force Model.

Thank you in advance for your timely response to this inquiry.

For a senile old RINO, he has his moments of lucidity. Guess someone has to protect the family’s tarnished name as his potty mouthed daughter hissy-fits on Twitter.

Don’t hold your breath waiting sen. amnesty. We know your fear the good sheriff as a potential sen opponent.Stop with the tough on illegals act, you phony.

My thoughts exactly as soon as I saw the caption. They must really think we are stupid. Gawd I hate these bastards.

Not so fast guys. Sending the letter was the right thing for John McCain to do.

McCain disavowed the immigration bill of 2007 (that then President Bush supported and wanted to sign), and McCain has said that law enforcement must come first and that the current problems in illegal immigration are the consequence of the failure to enforce the law enforcement provisions in Reagan era immigration law reform. If law enforcement is a genuinely held position, then McCain must defend Sheriff Arpaio. McCain has.

So while some of you who are obviously skeptical, the fact remains that McCain has done the right thing.

Yes, it appears that old Johnny Mac is questioning dear old Nappy Napolitano, but what is really happening here is that he is simply giving Nappy a stage to air her grievances against Sheriff Joe.

See, Johnny Mac is playing good cop to Nappy’s bad cop, so that when she explains her reasoning about the decision against poor dumb old Sheriff Joe, Johnny can then so, oh well that sounds reasonable.

Thus, he’ll submarine Joe, while remaining above the fray and portraying himself as the reasonable old man. The lovable, old crotchety Senator with a heart of gold….

I wish we had a puke smiley face, because Johnny Mac is as transparent as high class hookers panties.

    • Phil Byler

Terry, your hypothesis assumes: (i) that Napolitano will answer with something that makes superficial sense; and (ii) that McCain will say something to the effect of “O.K.”. Personally, I doubt both assumptions.

      Follow the story.

The only reason he’s making waves now, is because it’s an election next year.

No matter how conservative McCain tries to sound, remember these words: McCain-Feingold (attack on free speech under the guise of campaign finance reform), McCain-Lieberman (climate change legislation) & McCain-Kennedy (amnesty). These say everything you need to know about his conservative credentials. Anything else is political cover when he’s trying to get elected/re-elected.

I hear you, I just hope he is serious this time.

The man can say whatever he wants. Look at his record if you want to know who he is and what he believes. The same is true for anyone. I can call myself Galdor, Benevolent Dictator of the Universe, and say that I’ll make it rain Hershey’s Kisses in Memphis on Thursday, but the record shows otherwise.
