Good vid–he’s a logical thinking dude, I’m sure T. Smothers(sp) has lost some glimmer in his book.

It’s Tommy Smothers who has the problem, not Penn. Penn Teller IS articulate, intelligent, lucid, logical, libertarian, and calls it like it is. He is one of my favorite guests to watch on Glenn Beck’s program. Glenn and Penn always interact on a level of mutual respect and honesty, with a good deal of humor thrown in.
Penn & Teller’s Bullshit series commanded a whole new level of political street-savvy common sense when they took on the Greens, and had the founder of GreenPeace on to call “bullshit” on the PC agenda of the whole green movement as a political cause gone wrong with an extremist agenda that was based on the hype/religious fervor of the “Goracle Global Warming Alarmists”. For Tommy Smothers to call him out shows that Penn has the balls to stick to his principles, whereas Tommy just had to show his true colors.
It’s a shame to see your childhood idols like Tommy Smothers show their true agendas, and shatter your past admiration. People like Penn Teller get it, and have the charisma to call it as it is. I understand and have compassion for Penn to express his dismay at one of his idols getting in his face and confronting him.
Hat’s off to Penn for not backing down, and having the courage to stand up and be counted.
This is the rugged individualism and independent thought that built this country. Despite the fact that Penn’s an atheist and welcomes the invitations from Glenn Beck makes me proud that he’s a guy we can count on to call “bullshit” on the current intelligentsia running amok in the White House and this “administration.”
We need to clone him. I welcome him as one of us, not one of them.
I agree with Penn on this issue. I don’t like the piece Penn & Teller did on the Boy Scouts.

If I were Cosby, I would’ve decked Smothers the first time.
What I am trying to figure out is what is it that Glenn says that is able to be campared with Hitler? I do not agree with some things he says but I have not seen him promote hatred or such. But watching Penn and seeing what he said the Smothers guy said I get the impression that both of them are trying to say Glenn is no better that Hitler. It does noy makes much sense to me but I forget that most far left liberals never make much sense….
Smothers was just another anti war pussy who hid behind protests. After the fall of Saigon, and in the post war days when the communists were slaughtering millions of civilians, not one word of remorse was spoken from the scum who not only prolonged the war, but endangered their own countrymen.Look how they conducted themselves the last eight years.Although the war still goes on, and men are being killed everyday, the anti war cries have grown silent. The only one who seems to be non partisan is Cindy Shehan. Although I disagree with her completely, she seems to be the only one with any integrity.
So is Penn going to go back on Beck’s show? I had a hard time trying to figure out his feelings about the whole thing. Didn’t one of the Smothers Brothers get in trouble for messing with little boys? I tried to google it and couldn’t find anything.
Tommy Smothers is a washed up has been.This is all he can come up with for come back hopes for a new carreer in show biz.Goodluck.Alot of you are to young to remember his show but in it he played the stupid brother.Til this day it seems he is still playing the part.Mr.Penn will keep on being successful and make millions without selling his soul for show biz.Tommy Smothers on the other hand will be barely remembered for a show that is as old as dirt.
