    This made me so very sad. As a person who has had an abortion, I suffered for 2 decades with guilt and shame. Thankfully, I’ve been set forgiven and free from my past & guilt (Isaiah 43:25). That being said, I wish someone cared enough to stand outside the Brighton, MA abortion clinic to counsel me prior to my going inside all those years ago. I am so glad you are doing it (prayer vigil). May God grant you the courage, strength and grace to continue.

      I was pregnant at the same time one of my best friends was (1995). I was gung-ho to get the abortion, she was on the fence. As it turned out, I changed my mind on the table and she went through with it. She had nightmares about snakes coming out of trees after her for at least a year after the abortion.
      ONE of the things that piss the me off about these killers is they lie to women. The “counselor” I talked to said I may “get the blues” for about a week after. She said it was hormones. No you get blues from hormones, you get depressed because you have ended a life.
      Conservateacher, I’m glad you were able to make peace with your decision (it had to be devastating), God forgives you, and you’ll be able to see that little fellow when you get heaven. God bless you and thank you for sharing your story.

    More likely she has had an abortion. The guilt and shame of it is too much to handle. So, she turns to hatred instead of repentance. It’s easier to deal with than reality. Poor girl.

    However, she would have been on her ass if she tried that on me. She wants to start something, I have no problem with ending it.

    I was pro-choice my entire life. I was raised by two ultra-left wing parents.

    Long story short: I got engaged in ’96. We kept having to delay the wedding so that my entire family could make it up here from Texas. In the meantime, my fiance got pregnant.

    Turns out, she wasn’t sure whom was the father. She wanted and threatened to get an abortion. I begged and pleaded with her to have the child and I would raise him or her myself regardless of who the father was.

    Good news is, my daughter was born in September of ’97. She and I are extremely, extremely close. (Funny side note, she wrote a paper titled, “Why Global Warming is a Scam” this year without even telling me.)

    Anyway, this turned me pro-life pretty much immediately. I was disgusted by the idea that I had absolutely no say-so over the child being murdered or not. Not to mention if I had the opposite feeling – in other words not wanting the child – the mother would have the right to give birth to 18 years of child support.

    Anyway, I love my baby girl more than anything in the world.
