Site Issues

First, the good news: The site is now faster, and I’m about to do some things to make it faster, still.

Now the bad news: I came back to discover the issue many of you saw: Half of yesterday’s and all of today’s posts have disappeared (UPDATE: Today’s posts now re-posted), all of which are linked from Twitter and now read as 404 “dead” pages. Fun!. The problem includes the disappearance of updates and comments from some of yesterday’s posts as well. It seems quite clear that this is a result of the migration of data from the old to the new server. Apparently, someone or something at the hosting company thought all the data was finished being transferred, when in fact it was about 99.9% transfered, hacking off the last micro-bit that contained the latest stuff. I’m now posting all the current news and video, and correct total on the fundraiser, so bear with. The site will be maintained 24/7/365, with all the news as it breaks, so keep coming back.

Sorry for all the problems Pat. We have patience and know tech glitches are part and parcel of blogs.

Damn…This is why I have a love/hate relationship with technology, but anyone who has ever run a website completely understands.
