Uninsured Illegal Aliens Can Now Drive Legally In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO-CA — In 2007, the last reporting period. the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported 28 pedestrians fatalities, 440 cyclists injured, a total of 52 people killed in traffic accidents in San Francisco.

Now, it’s reported today that the city will no longer enforce the law for first time offenders of driving without a license. Worse, the new police chief endorses the proposal.

San Francisco Police Chief Gascon is quoted as saying that the city is “trying to be sensitive to all of the communities we serve…”We recognize that this is a problem within the Hispanic community, where people working here can’t get a driver’s license because of their immigration status,” Gascón said.

The police chief might want to develop some sensitivity to the 3,632 who were injured in traffic accidents in San Francisco or the five deaths and 346 motorcyclists’ injuries, reported by the CHP. Traffic injuries are on the rise. Sensitivity does not allow the city or police chief to decide how to enforce the law. The law, driving with a license, is intended to protect against incompetent drivers.

He might also want to consider that if they don’t have licenses, they don’t have insurance. So a number of the 3,632 injured motorists who were struck by some ungrateful illegal immigrant will get no relief from their injuries or motor damages. The people passing this legislation are obviously criminally aware of the amount of illegal aliens in their city and the crimes they commit (besides being here illegally), and they accept that! They give a free pass, a get out of Mexico free card to every single illegal that dirties their city’s borders. Every single lawmaker involved in the process of ratifying this law is in turn breaking a large number of federal and state laws, and they should be prosecuted as such. This makes me so f-ing sick I can’t even write anymore about it until I calm down. I’m seeing RED.

    In my city, one illegal after 5, count them, 5 arrests for DUI proceeded to run from the cops, run a traffic signal, collide with two teens and burn them to death in their small truck. After a call to the state attorney general’s office, I found out that ICE and the Feds will not allow any municipal authority to detain, even though in my state 3 DUI strikes and “Whitey” is out. But not these fucking wet backs, they are an endangered species when it comes to abiding by the law. I think the time has come to take our government back.

    Jails are filled with people who can no longer afford insurance or registration. Why should illegal aliens be allowed to go free of prosecution?

    These people quite often are very bad drivers even in their own country, much less here, and when they have an accident, they often times, run like rabbits. I wonder how many millions of illegals are also Chinese? Mexicans are the most obvious, but there is a flood of people here, that don’t belong here, this is OUR country, not theirs. How much more crap before the pot boils over?

    i have to many stories about the illegals. i hit in the rear by a no ins. person[mexican]lucky for me i had ins.with unins.driver but it didnt buy me a new car,my mother did!im on ssd so i could not afford to put out 5 thou to replace it thats half what i live on for the year,but anyway i pay to have unins moterst because thay lied to the cops thay did nothing to her!here in OREGON the cops do nothing to the illegals in fact iv heard that thay call a taxi,i know thay dont get towed.no ins? no lic.no id no proof of how thay are thats ok here in OREGON .worthless state rep.and the courts are just as bad.this prez we have is a commy,today he said we need to let more aids people in the us. :gun:

    You know, it sounds to me like San Fran is setting themselves up for a lawsuit.

    The first time a drunk illegal immigrant with no license and no insurance hits an 18-wheeler with a loaded trailer, and the entire load is lost (sometimes worth millions) the trucking companies will say, forget it. If you can’t enforce the law, then we don’t have to deliver here. Or what about a drunk illegal immigrant with no license and no insurance who hits a loaded gas tanker? Slap them on the hand and say, “oh it’s your first time, we’ll be gentle with you!”

    What’s San Fran going to do then, give the illegals CDLs and have them truck in the goods… oh wait.. what am I saying, that already happens.

    And if the Police Chief of San Fran says there’s a problem wtih the Hispanic community and not being able to get a license, thus they deserve “special treatment” of a “get out of jail free card” versus those who are not of hispanic descent who don’t have a license and get thrown in jail or a ticket for the same means that the Police Chief endorses racism and encourages illegal immigration. Both violations of US Federal laws.

    Was I sensitive enough to the needs of San Fran and the Police Chief with what I have said? No.. aww.. too bad, so sad.. GROW UP and realize allowing so many illegal immigrants to work and live in California, allowing them FREE services at the cost of taxpayers is a MAJOR cause of California not being able to meet their budget.
