I still think they should all go and live in the Obama’s mansion in Hyde Park.

This just moves jobs from Gitmo to Illinois, from the military to civilian prison staff, and adds a few temporary construction jobs along the way. Nothing new is created, and it’s actually throwing away the infrastructure already created for Gitmo.

Any honest fool without a political agenda can see that this proposal is an asinine, grotesque, redundancy and a total waste of time and money. If we have to keep them at all, let them stay in Gitmo. I have yet to hear a cogent reason for moving them, unless flying them to New York for a politically motivated “show trial” par excellence represents one. Infreakingcredible. Our Founder’s must surely be rolling over in their collective graves at the sight of their posterity clamoring over who should be able to suck the fiercest at the Federal tit to slake their thirst for “Prison Centered Employment”.

“Instead of focusing attention on policies that will create good private sector jobs for the future, they’re offering us their prisons and calling this a dream come true,” Rep. Judy Biggert,R-Ill., said Monday. “I’d like to say it’s more like your worst nightmare.”
