ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — The U.S. Homeland Security secretary says she is working to prevent a possible wave of anti-Muslim sentiment after the shootings at Fort Hood in Texas.
Janet Napolitano says her agency is working with groups across the United States to try to deflect any backlash against American Muslims following Thursday’s rampage by Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim who reportedly expressed growing dismay over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The shootings left 13 people dead and 29 wounded.
Napolitano was in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday for talks with security officials and a meeting with women university students in Abu Dhabi.

In case anyone is wondering, or for those who are monitoring this site, what the administration is doing, before the nation and the world, is high treason. They are aiding and abetting the enemy during a time of war. By taking public action to protect the known enemies of the United States, and reduce our security at home, they are violating their constitutional oaths, and committing treason. Instead of defining our enemy, and taking proper action to remove them from our midst, they are taking action to protect our enemies and permit the continuation of their activities. In addition, rather than focus on the elimination of our known enemies both at home and abroad, they are focusing instead on deconstructing individual freedom and implementing increased authoritarian controls on U.S. citizens. These actions, individually or combined, are clearly acts of treason. In effect, this administration is acting in concert with, and as an extension of, the enemies of the United States.
