Obama’s “Pet Goat” Moment: Absolute Disrespect And Apathy In Obama’s Rushed Ft. Hood Speech
“Hey Ft Hood, I’m happy for ya I’ma let you finish, but first I’ll shout out to my best buddies of ALL TIME!”
His disrespect, disinterest, and utter apathy towards the tragedy at Ft. Hood borders on treason. Hell, Joe Biden’s (handed to news organizations as text, not live) remarks on the situation sound more serene.
We still don’t know what was behind the killings at Ft. Hood this afternoon, in which 11 soldiers and the killer died, but President Obama’s rushed press conference was surprising in its flippancy nonetheless. Before he got to the issue on everyone’s mind — namely the deaths of Americans in uniform — the president gave a “shout-out” to government bureaucrats gathered for a previously scheduled conference at the Interior Department, complete with appreciative chuckles. He treated the event like a pep rally rather than a tragic occasion with a wider audience than those gathered in the room. I wonder how many media outlets will compare Obama’s performance to President Bush’s “Pet Goat” moment on 9/11. I won’t hold my breath.

I agree. President Obama’s comments and demeanor were an outrage. He was supposed to be addressing the urgent news and crisis but instead gave a few “housekeeping” comments about the days meetings, and yes, he used the words “shout out” to say hello to someone in the audience. Thereafter, he casually mentioned Fort Hood and the casualties. I was shocked and disgusted and the lack of respect and plain ignorance he displayed. I am ashamed that he is our president.
I thought he felt awkward having to display remorse because white people were killed…
The initial part of the speech he made about the Ft. Hood Event is gone!

I want to thank my Cabinet members and senior administration officials who participated today. I hear that Dr. Joe Medicine Crow (ph) was around, and so I want to give a shout out to that Congressional Medal of Honor winner. It’s good to see you.

My understanding is is that you had an extremely productive conference. I want to thank all of you for coming and for your efforts, and I want to give you my solemn guarantee that this is not the end of a process, but the beginning of a process and that we are going to follow up.

We saw this indifference to all things American when last year, candidate Hopey, along with the McCains paid tribute to the fallen at a 911 memorial in NY. The McCains very somberly placed their flowers on the memorial while Hopey tossed his on the pile from about 10ft away much like he was chucking a crumpled pack of Winstons in the gutter.

When I heard he was going to make remarks on the Ft. Hood murders I thought it was kinda odd considering who this man is. That was before the shooter’s name and religion was released. Then when he made the remarks this morning about not rushing to judgement I was absolutely furious! He has no respect for our military - not one ounce - and says do not rush to judgement on this puke rag head. The US Army put this guy thru school and employed him at one of the most elite hospitals in the country and he is pissed off at being deployed.
