    Why wasn’t that reporter and camera man killing every Taliban in their sight? News media people are a treasonous bunch: Standing there and watching the murder of their own citizens by musulim extremist terrorist and doing nothing about it…well they need a bullit too!

    And who decided to put that base in that completely untenable location. It would be impossible to defend that hole against a high ground attack! Heads should roll over such incompetent command!

      Dr. Jerry: I believe they said the video was “obtained” from the taliban, and I tend to believe it based off the shoddy camera work, although I would not put that passed them.

    Not to defend ABC in anyway but i would assume that the video was taken by Taliban members and post online or sent to news outlets. I highly doubt any reporter or cameraman would embed with Taliban forces.

    If I recall this was the attack were US force defended the base successfully fighting off the Taliban attack, though 9 soliders did die.

      Don’t get me wrong, The Mainstream Media is shit and shit only. I would love it if they didn’t exist, but they do, it’s a private industry (for now,anyways.). This is a war of ideology, we have to defeat them with logic, and every time we can get them to expose themselves for what they are, we need to.

    I salute our brave Soldiers & Marines. However our Govt. Lacks the resolve & ruthlessness necessary to win this war. That nation needs to be flattened and have its Pakistani border sealed.     Our poor men (and Afghani men) were like fish in a barrel there, who the hell ordered to set-up base there? Just makes me sick to watch that.

    As for the video, ABC didn’t shoot it, but who and why do they have contact with the Taliban? Maybe it was sent to them, but it it was arranged to give them the tape then that needs to be investigated. The bigger point is whether ABC should have even shown it and did they turn it over to the govt/military?

      lot come from Pashtun region on a Afghani-Pakistani border, there is a huge weapons market there. there are also huge weapons cashes left over from soviet invasion. also it comes from currupt pakistani military officials, the pakistans ISI agents, and lets not forget about currupt/pro-taliban afghani military personel.

      Unfortunately thanks to our other enemy,the Russians,most of our supplies have to come thru the Khyber pass where the majority of the convoys have been hit putting OUR weapons and supplies in our enemies hands.It is not uncommon in Pakistani villages close to the border of Afghanistan to see American Weapons and Equiptment being sold at outdoor markets and Bazaars.Including NVGs[Night Vision Goggles]and other expensive Optical gear that puts the enemy on the same playing field as our troop’s.If Americans could see the type of American materials being sold at these places they would be disgusted and angered.This puts our troop’s in danger cause the Russians are still assholes and are still as much our enemies now as they were in the Cold War.

      yea that sucks, although not much could was obtained cause lot of the stuff was burned during attacks on those convoy stops in pakistan. and that bring me to the original cause – the pakistani army/security forces that should have provided a dicent cover for those supplies…i watched that vid about the khyber pass market.not only do they have american made stuff, but also a lot of brand new and allegedly not-for-export russian special weapons, like VSK sniper rifles, and AS silenced assault rifles, both firing 9mm necked-up 7.62X39 subsonics that can penetrate through 3-4 class (depending on a bullet type) armor from 200-300m. perfect for guerrilla style warfare. also tons of old chinese crap that still goes boom left over from sovient war.

    u need bases in both populated areas and the high ground above. u need ground presense within the afghanis to win over taliban. cant just abandon the towns and villages and relocate in outskirts. taliban agents will kill those who are anti-taliban.

    You need to read up on how the Germans fought Tito’s Communist Partisans in Yugoslavia. 1942-1945

    12-15 German Divisons were tied down thruout the war. Same number as US in Afghanistan

    Despite 60 years ago they were armed even better than the Taliban

    Read SS Division Prinz Eugens two volume divisional history and find some surviving veterans as advisors.

    This is stalemate war at best. Use mini nukes

    Trouble is we are funding both sides. Its CIA sleaze at its worst

    here is proof that when you have politicans in charge of war, the American warrior is screwed. We have a president that has never seen a war, never had to fight for his life, never seen a buddy blown into a red mist, just like most of congress. Politicans sit back and command war as they get their kickbacks and blow jobs.To them, it’s a game and soldiers are pawns.
    Here is proof that what I’m saying is truth;
    The weapon that the taliban fears the most. The weapon that comes straight out of hell. The A-10. Here is a fairly cheap and highly affective weapon and congress decides not to fund production for more.
