    are they trying to say that since the FED is private the govt controll over its daily activities is BAD? the lack of feds transparence was an issue since the 1915. and it didnt stop a single market crashes that it was suppose to prevent. its a private corporation owned by bankers. fuck secrecy they are killing the dollar. and the insiders benefit from knowledge of when the inflation hits, cause they are the ones printing the money.

    My Dad’s financial adviser told him to be careful buying gold. He said there is a vault that is full of fake gold, made with a metal that weights the same as gold and it is plated. This guy is not a nut case. I would like to know if this is true though. It would really put the country’s financial situation in a bigger bind than it already is. :???:

    Your Dad’s financial advisor is spot on. The Bank of England is getting spanked by China. Gold purchased from the Bank of England by China and stored in Hong Kong was bore-tested by China (they drill 3 holes in the bar to confirm it’s solid gold and then re-melt it and restamp the gold bar). It turns out that some of that gold sold by the bank of England was filled with Tungsten – which has the exact same weight as gold but is dirt cheap in comparison.

    The amount of “salted tungsten” gold bars in question was allegedly between 5,600 and 5,700 – 400 oz – good delivery bars [roughly 60 metric tons].

    I don’t suspect that too many of you out there are purchasing 400 oz gold bars, but be careful about any gold funds or EFT’s – their propectus will very likely include language stating:

    Gold bars allocated to the Trust in connection with the creation of a Basket may not meet the London Good Delivery Standards and, if a Basket is issued against such gold, the Trust may suffer a loss. Neither the Trustee nor the Custodian independently confirms the fineness of the gold bars allocated to the Trust in connection with the creation of a Basket. The gold bars allocated to the Trust by the Custodian may be different from the reported fineness or weight required by the LBMA’s standards for gold bars delivered in settlement of a gold trade, or the London Good Delivery Standards, the standards required by the Trust. If the Trustee nevertheless issues a Basket against such gold, and if the Custodian fails to satisfy its obligation to credit the Trust the amount of any deficiency, the Trust may suffer a loss.
