    Here is the physics of cloud formation. The physics lecture is well worth the watch http://seekingalpha.com/article/175641-climategate-revolt-of-the-physicists There is a possible relationship between aerosols, cloud formation, and cosmic rays. Yes, SO2 is an important aerosol. Anyways, the physicists are building a cloud chamber at CERN to study exactly that correlation. Looks like good science.
    What is interesting to me is the divergence of temperature measurements in the past 2-3 decades from other physical evidence. The reasons have become more clear in the past month. For example see http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/12/08/the-smoking-gun-at-darwin-zero/
    Figure 8 is the money shot. It’s a hoot and if true shows the extent to which the AGW community was willing to nudge the data to show warming.

      There’s lots of mega-geoengineering we could do to attempt to mitigate “global warming”. But if our engineering is based on bad data and bad models, it will screw things up in a major way.

      After spending trillions of dollars on such a project, we could, for instance, initiate a new ice age. It would be the epic fuckup of all epic fuckups.

      You gotta get the data right and you gotta get the models right, if you want to try to control a complex, feedback-driven system. If you make a mistake, you could destroy the whole thing.

    It’s estimated that 50% of all CO2 in the atmosphere is absorbed by plants every year, no matter how much CO2 there is. Warmer weather plus more CO2 equals more plant growth to feed the population of the earth. So if the planet is warming (not since 1998) what would be wrong with this picture ?
